My mom should be on the road right now (wbut knowing her she's probably still not) moving down to NC and will be joining us for the holidays. I'm planning on staying in my PJs all day long! Cocoa, food, and the sounds of kids ripping paper off their presents will fill the air. Good times.

Alright I am hijacking my own thread. What did you ask for for Christmas? I didnt want anything except comfy PJs to loaf around in until this weekend when my friend brought over her super awesome new camera. She took pics of the boys while she was here and I just saw them and I must have a decent camera now!

You can see the pics she took of my goobers here:

I asked for, and received, some cosmetic and restorative dentistry. One of my front teeth had turned gray, and the dentist wanted to go ahead and root canal it and crown it. All that's been done, and the final crown comes in on Jan 4th. There are also plans to bleach all the front teeth to match the crown, which was done in a slightly lighter shade.

Husband asked for and is getting a hand made stocking.

We got a combined gift of a new stereo receiver and speakers. Now I just need the wireless speakers for the summer.

I also got Mr. Tare a game, magazines, booze and hot sauce for his stocking 'cause I'm dead sneaky.

I'll be working for a little while tomorrow. Then it's off to my parent's house in Nashville where we'll spend the night. Then back to home on Christmas Day with a quick stop at my FIL's house.

I doubt I'll get much if anything this year, because I told everyone not to get me anything. I think my husband got me a book I want, but that's about it. I'd rather everyone just get stuff for the kids.

Going to take a nice 4 day weekend. Hopefully the weather will let me get some work done outside.

As for presents I just gave away home depot cards. I hate christmas shopping.

Today, going to finish some Christmas shopping. Going to get a case of Corona for my dad, a bunch of $5 bills that I'll tie to a mini-Christmas tree for my sister, and I'm debating getting a card for this girl I kinda fancy. She mentioned the other day that she loves penguins and really liked Happy Feet; I also know she loves dancing. I was thinking of getting a card with penguins on it and writing inside something like "Hope you have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year; let's go out dancing and have you show off those happy feet sometime in 2010!" Too dorky? I mean, yes, SUPER dorky, but TOO dorky? Not sure yet.

Tomorrow I work until 2:00, then head back home. Still debating going to 6:30 service as church or not; it beats midnight mass, but I don't know if I'm religious enough to go to church more than once a week :-P Will probably go. Spending the night with family.

Christmas day my mom is making a lunch for us. After I'm going over my ex's house for their Christmas party; a little awkward, but not too bad. My ex seems convinced I'm going to try and hook up with her cousin... it's a little weird. She's a weird girl though, so it's whatever. Should still be fun.

No idea what the next week holds besides R&R. New Years is completely empty again, as I cancelled plans with my ex. I need a break from having her around, haha. And the girl I fancy may have a party, so that has potential?

I have a prime rib that is longer than my upper leg in my fridge. I shall be cooking that on the 25th itself with all the fixins'

Tomorrow we do our traditional light christmas eve dinner and open the traditional 1 present each. The rest will be opened the next morning. after which, everyone heads to my place to eat aforementioned chunk of cow. should be fun!

I have much rapping to attend to.

Yes.

Every day I celebrate the fact that somehow I managed to (help) make an absolutely perfectly adorable little person. I celebrate this with hugs and kisses. And chest bumps!

There was a W there at one point. I think the liberals scared it off though.

Everybody gets to pick 1 from their pile under the tree. At that point Santa has not yet arrived, so it's only out of gifts relatives bring. The general rule is to not open the big shiny ones until the next day. but no general theme, no.
