Remember when that one senator guy switched parties and he gave the Democrats sixty votes and then they passed a massive health care reform bill against a Republican filibuster, the likes of which hadn't been seen for 40+ years?

Yup. You don't think I care about the personal politics of either gentleman for purposes of this thread, do you? Point being that, in the "Congresscritters switching parties" game, the flip to Democratic Senator had infinitely more meaning than the flip to Republican House Rep.
