Looks like the Kool-Aid is wearing off.

Every once in awhile the Amercian people can be scammed and conned into voting for Liberalism if it's hidden and packaged right *cough*HopeAndChange*cough* but you can't keep it hidden for long and once it's been exposed people run from it in droves.

The far left is ******** that Obama is continuing Bush policies, so they might as well just have another Bush.

Compare Obama to Palin, however, and they shut up fast.

Obama's been in office for less than a year. It takes time to fix these problems. I mean, look at how long it took Bush to fix Iraq.

Goodness, this thread is like those family dinners where an overarching air of awkwardness hangs as they ask you if your college is teachin' you communism.

Why yes, uncle. I take socialist calculus.

Eh, Ben Smith is usually pretty good. So is PPP for the most part. Of course, neither PPP nor Ben Smith is trying to make the point ThiefX is.

It's virtually guaranteed -- hell, strike "virtually" -- that the Democrats will lose seats in November. They picked up all the low hanging fruit in 2006 and then used the wave of Obama support to grab other seats in red districts in 2008. There's a reason why the Blue Dog coalition in the House is as large as it is: Democrats have picked up a significant number of "red" seats using centrist candidates. There just aren't any more spots left for them to make inroads until there's some demographic changes (age, race, education, whatever).

The only question is "how bad will it be". The point Smith was extrapolating form PPP's data is that the "Bush was bad" tagline isn't likely to be very effective. To be honest, the results themselves aren't very surprising, I bet they break down pretty solidly along partisan lines. There's also no threat to saying "Man, I wish we had Bush back!" if you're a Republican who wants to insult Obama since, whether you honestly want it or not, Bush ain't coming back.

If you read the PPP report, it says that 35% of (self reported) McCain voters and 5% of Obama voters think Obama should be impeached Smiley: laugh

Anything that teaches integration sounds like communism to me. Besides, math is often used to model reality, and reality has a well known liberal bias.

According to the PPP data, of the 44% who said "Bush", 85% were McCain voters, 4% were Obama voters, and the rest voted for "Someone Else/Can't Remember" (6% of total respondents were "unsure").

If you can't remember who you voted for, you have bigger issues that if you want Bush back. However this poll hardly reflects some frantic scrambling away from "Liberalism" but rather how butthurt McCain voters can be.

That's because socialism by itself, is wrong. Too bad they wouldn't see this and treat captialism the same. They should only be teaching a healthy blend.

Socialism isn't wrong. I'm not sure how an economic system could be inherently wrong. It might not achieve the ends that you think it should achieve but that's a different story.

(btw a job pensive is that thing that people who pay taxes and contribute to society go to every day.)

(Typically after finishing their education so they can be more effectively snippy on said message boards while they're supposed to be working.)

And for the record, I know lots of people who don't have 'jobs' but contribute more to society in one week than ******* like thiefX contribute in their whole lives.

I have a job. I mean, I get payed every month and have meetings all the time, and deliverables, so I assume I must, but I still have plenty of time to post on message boards. I mean, Even with Jophiels average of 13 posts/day (from another thread where he counted) that's really not a lot of time. Maybe it takes you longer to read and write then normal. Smiley: frown

Hmm, maybe if you had to post from a shared computer in the break room before you went back to the dish pit, I could see the problem. Them dishes wait for no one.
