Muslim woman 'abused' over dress by Christian Hotelier

Quote:
Mrs Tazi, who converted to Islam 18 months ago, spent a month at The Bounty House Hotel on Church Avenue, Aintree, Liverpool, while attending a course at Aintree Hospital.

Quote:
Mrs Tazi had worn European dress during her four-week stay, but the row flared after she came down on her last day in traditional Islamic dress.

Interesting one this ....

I thought the traditional Muslim attire was a vest with homemade bombs strapped to it?

Did FOX news lead me astray again?

Muzzled is far more amusing in the long term?

What actually irks me about the article is how silly the entire situation is and how it ever reached court. People do odd things for religions.

A hotel car bomb would not be an entirely inappropriate solution, here.

Or would it?

The case was dismissed yesterday.

When I first saw this story on TV, my first thought was "How the fuck is this news?? Some women gets abused by some twats and decides to sue, so fucking what?! How is that relevant to any of us? What possible lesson can we learn from it? That it's ok to abuse Muslims? That it's not? Seriously, what can possibly come out of this story?"

Then the story about Tiger Woods came up, so I threw a brick through my television and felt much better about life.

I guess if the case was dismissed, we are to learn that it's ok to abuse Muslims.

Or maybe we learn that the courts might see through frivolous attempts to cash in on current social outcasting.

So harrassment and hate speech are considered "frivolous" now?

Nice.

She apparently exagerated her story, and it therefore got dismissed. So we learnt that, erm, all Muslims are liars, I suppose...

I read the original article, and I thought it sounded like she was treated pretty harshly. Apparently I missed something somewhere.
