Turned out to be a fairly busy week, with Christmas shopping and waiting at the post office and all that, and the weekend promises to be no different. Mia's 5th birthday party is on Saturday so I'll be up to my eyeballs with mermaids, fish and sparkles.

Beyond that, work around here and chillin' out. What's up with you guys?

Left work early yesterday because everyone in the house was puking and my girl friend couldn't tend to the kids as she was too sick. Thought for sure my 4 day weekend was fubar. Turns out, ti was only a 24hour bug. YAY!

I plan on getting shitfaced. I wanted to last night, but alas I'm too responsible and wanted to be good for work today.

Plans to bring a friend down from MA that I'd been working on for over a month crashed last night. Totally sucks. I'm really depressed right now, and just want to get messed up, sleep it off, and get over it. It's cathartic!

Soccer mom inc.

We're going on an "Artwalk" tonight and out to dinner. I need to start doing holiday gift planning I suppose. ugh.

A neighbor wanted to be rid of a bunch of old lightning canning jars earlier this year, so I took um off her hands. They cleaned up nicely. Also I dried a bunch of my herbs. So I think I'm going to make up dried soup kits for some of my less culinary inclined family members.

I started a new character in Warhammer so am momentarily obsessed with leveling her up. I'm sure I'll be playing some War. I'll likely watch whatever movie the hubby drags in from Netflix. Last weekends was an old Disney movie titled Monkey's Go Home, starring Dean Jones. I thought it odd I'd never heard of it, but after watching it I understand why.

Going to get some more decorations for the tree and house. When we moved I somehow lost some of our stuff.

And I'm supposed to work all weekend, but I doubt I'll work long. It's going to be cold and snowy and only the most die-hard golfers will play in that. And that's IF they even open the course. So I foresee building fires and drinking wine and hot chocolate a lot this weekend. Monday I get this damn tooth out, yay!

I'm getting a tree! Last year was my first in my house, and we didn't get one but this year one of my renters decided we needed a tree. So it'll be fun.

Today it's the future ex Mrs Nobby's company Christmas shindig so for me it'll probably be an early evening pub dinner, followed by TV, booze & LoTRO Smiley: grin

Tomorrow I'll deck the hallls of Nobby Towers with festive things (reindeer entrails, aborted snowman foetuses and dismembered elves) then go shopping with the li'l laydee.

Sunday - idling away the day.

Ribs still sore, but recovering. There's something called December Nights, an annual holiday festival at Balboa Park. So we'll have a family outing there tonight and tomorrow. Lots of errands tomorrow (bank run, grocery shopping, etc.) Sunday, church and laundry and watching football.

The only major thing we have on our plate this weekend is to go celebrate Mias 5th (OMG I cant believe she is turning 5!!!!!) birthday. Otherwise we'll be chilling and I plan on recouping from trying to keep all 3 kids happy and entertained and out of the house all week long. I foresee naps and jammies as much as possible

I get to spend the weekend with the woman. It's been almost a week since I've seen her so I'm psyched. Looking forward to getting back in the kitchen and watching stupid movies on the couch.

We got the netflix. I just watched Netherbeast Incorporated and it was awesome. One of the main characters is the dude from blue's clues.

At least they have somewhere to play. After Turkeyday the only place you can even get some practice swings in around here are indoor driving ranges. Hope you feel better on Tuesday, sugar!

Going to the Video Game Orchestra concert at Berklee tomorrow night which will be all kinds of geeky awesomeness. On Sunday we're going to the Aquarium to see the 20 or so rescued sea turtles that they brought in last weekend from the beaches of Cape Cod. The rest of the time will be spent Christmas shopping, working towards closing on our condo deal (supposed to sign P&S on Monday), and catching up on sleep.
