Hope you are all having a great day, American-givers-of-thanks.

My plans to get a free turkey dinner have been struck down by two kids with colds. Bah, it figures.

No turkey for me either. I'm doing good to eat some veggie soup right now. But hey, the swelling's going down!

Happy Turkey Day everyone!

Well I have a pretty horrible cold too, so I give thanks to the fact that this is the eatingest holiday and hopefully gorging on turkey and stuffing will help cure me.

I'm thankful for the fact that a lot of people are suffering while I have to work.

Your kids, Tare, or your friends kids?

My moms husbnad called to say he wouldnt make it as he got pulled over for speeding and as his registration is from MA and they look different from NC registrations, the cops thought it was not valid, so held him in the barracks for over an hour before they let him go. By the time they figured out it was legit and let him go (with a nice hefty speeding ticket) he was too pissed to continue the journey and turned back home. Good times Smiley: lol

We stuffed ourselves and now we're watching LOTR with the oldest. Happy T day folks!

Do the police not have the internet in NC?

BURP! just came back, with enough turkey bone/meat to make soup and sandwiches for 2 days. Also potatoes, and a few sweet rolls.

I made two pumpkin pies and 3 batches of cinnamon rolls. I ate 4 hours ago and I'm still stuffed to the brim. Afterwards BT and I made a trip to the hospital to visit my sister (and bring her cinnamon rolls) since her and her boyfriend got hit by a car while crossing the street the other night. She had surgery on her broken arm yesterday. If she wasn't such an cnut we'd probably still be up there but she's got a constant stem of visitors and she's going home tomorrow anyway.

I'm sure they do, but Mass Drivers have a national reputation (which he sure held to, the idiot) and if I had to make a guess they were probably busting his chops and making an example out of him.

NC is **** about speeding. If you're caught going 15 mph above speed limit there is a decent chance of having your license suspended for reckless driving. My moms husband admitted he was going 20 above. And with it being a holiday, cops are notoriously worse. While I feel for him about them holding him for so long to verify his registration, I dont pity him either. I warned him and my mother point blank if they moved down here to not speed ever because of NCs reputation for being hardcore against reckless drivers.

I would have loved to have more turkey, but was being polite and trying a little bit of everything that was cooked, so not to offend anyone.
