Are we talking relative degrees? I would argue "popular" with a demographic would be having more than 50% of said demographic liking the person. Palin is NOT popular with moderate woman. You could argue that 20% of moderate women liking her would be popular. Sure, it's more than 0, but it's a pointless comparison. Without a majority (or nearly one), popularity is pretty worthless.

There's a poll out there now by either gallup or rasmussen, I don't remember which, that says only 20% of the population identify themselves as liberas, 40% as moderate/independent, and another 40% as conservative/gop.
I'm going to say right now you have your facts wrong, if for no other reason that you have GOP mixed in with conservative, but no option for Democrat.

In the same poll most of those who identified themselves as moderates have said they will not vote Democrat next year.

If what you're saying about Palin is true those numbers wouldn't be what they are.
No. Now you're making stuff up. Heck, Neil Patrick Harris is popular, but that popularity has nothing to do with which party people will vote for. Palin has made enemies among the Republican Party; even if she does gain popularity (which, note, she is losing it, not gaining it), that does NOT mean the party gains votes.

Nevermind the fact that thousands upon thousands of people are attending her book signings.
Amazing. Thousands upon thousands went to her rallies as well.

The results are in Palin is popular among moderates which is why liberal organizations like the ap and basic media outlets feel they have to tear her down.
The results, as said, are that she's too conservative to appeal to most moderates, and too divisive to get anywhere among the Republican party.

Like the liberals on this site they are scared sh*tless of her and they should be. An attractive, well spoken conservative is a threat to the Dems hold on the female vote.
I'm scared of Palin precisely because she is NOT well-spoken, and (although not mentioned by you) lacks the experience, education, or connections to run anything outside of the governorship of Alaska... which she gave up due to pressure.
