So when you said
Quote:
hat this woman is extremely popular with a major democrat voting block (women). That this woman is actually atractive and well spoken.

You were lying first because she is not popular with the listed demographic, and second because it's not her attractiveness or speaking ability but rather because of Democrats that she will become more popular?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you just had to eat your own words.

This is how the last few posts went:

Varrus: Lie.
LockCole: Cite please.
Catwho: Cite proving the lie was just that, a lie.
Varrus: Change subject.

It's like boxing a squid. Stupid, pointless, and as soon as you deflect one gooey weak tentacle, another one comes around to try to punch back, ineffectually.

Unless they've changed the definition, that isn't "punching" that he is attempting.

Also, can you tell the difference between excerpts from Going Rogue and Danielle Steele's novel Rogue? Take the quiz! I was only able to get 6/10.

I didn't buy her book. Not enough pictures.

No, seriously, I think Palin is only "attractive" for a politician. But everything is relative. She's better than looking than Merkel or Pelosi or SkeletorCindy McCain, but objectively, she's not really all that attractive at all. She looks ok, but she's not "hot". The prime minister of Ukraine is objectively hot. The Queen of Jordan, same. But Palin is a 7, at the very best.

And that's with her mouth closed. As soon as she opens it, your thinking shifts from "not really attractive" to "someone pass me a shovel".

Fundamentally, it's a package. And overall, she's a...4. Maybe 4.5, if you're feeling generous, and have had a few beers, and you just came back from an ear operation that left your deaf in the ear she's talking into.

And you're off your tits on ecstasy.

Palin's relative attractiveness isn't even a relevant debate. Who cares if she's attractive or not? What matters is her personality and intellect which she fails at. She's an attention *****/liar/moron.

Well yes but, technically, it's pretty obvious to anyone with half a neuron that she's a crazy fanatic who represents the most right-wing fringe of the Republicans. There's not much scope for debate, except to wonder just how retardedly stupid she really is. Hmm, do you think that when she orders sushi she asks for it "medium-rare"? Or that she puts lipsticks on her head when she needs to make up her mind?

Whereas lots of guys seemingly thinks she's hot. So, you know, there's room for plenty of "Oh no she's not!" and "Oh yes she is!" and that kind of fun stuff.

Anyway, I'm going to bed.

As to the original question of whether or not I'm planning to read the book, the answer is no. I have a whole stack of novels that have been gifted to me that I'm working my way through; I don't have any more openings in my fiction library.

Given to me as gifts. "Gift" can be used as a verb. It is correct usage, though somewhat archaic.

Palin's an attention ***** & any publicity is "good" for her & her supporters. If it's Fox news coverage, it's great. If it's critical, she cries about getting picked on which scores her more points with her base.

All the while, all the "independents" she covets (as well as us hippies) continue to hope against hope that she'll just shut the fuck up and go away.

She hasn't been relevant since she quit being governor & I see no reason for that to change, just because she "wrote" a book. A book I will not read.

But if it makes any of you pubbies feel better, I did watch this:

And I didn't even feel guilty about it!

(The sequal, where her & Bristol bang "Letterman", wasn't quite as good as the original)

I told her "put Palindrome" in the title. How many times did I tell her??? But did she listen, Noooo! she had to go listen to Cheny and his hypnopublicyst. WTF is a hypnopublicist anyways?

It's her fault now. Her and Michael Moore.

It's not just independents. A lot of Republicans I know(myself included) agree with the hope that she'll just disappear. At first I thought she was going to be an interesting addition to the playing field, but she proved me wrong quite early on.

6 of 10 for the Palin Steele quiz.
Gifted is indeed an archaic word. Seen in romance novels and Daniel Steele works.

It's not that she's attractive, it's that she isn't unattractive. And you're right, Liberals should be scared of her. If she gets in power, the whole world is fucked. It'll be like Nero watching Rome burn.

I'll admit she's damn fine for a politician. If I was a guy, I'd consider hitting it if I could put duct tape over the mouth.

However, she is NOT a good speaker. She's not. No matter how many ways you try to pretend she is, she isn't. She trained to be a sportscaster and wasn't any good at it. She cannot think on her feet fast enough to be witty, nor can she do anything other than spout bad jokes other people have written for her and lies, damned lies, and statistics (usually wrong ones.) She's never learned extemporaneous speaking, she's never learned to really debate, and she lacks the ability for spontaneous wordplay to be efficient at either. She lacks intellectual curiosity and cannot debate on multiple subjects at once. I suspect she may actually be somewhat illiterate and has managed to fool everyone for over forty years. (As in, she knows how to read, but doesn't like doing it.)

The ONE THING she's learned to do well is keep her eyes focused on the audience, and not the camera, which is probably what allowed her to graduate with a degree in communications at all.
