Via South Park.

Kyle: "You know what Cartman? I believe you."
Cartman: "You do?"
Kyle: "Yes. I believe that YOU believe that you helped write that joke. That's how people like you work. Your ego is so out of whack that it will do whatever it can to protect itself. And people with this messed ego do these mental gymnastics to convince themselves they're awesome, when really they're just douchebags."
Cartman: "But... I'm sure I helped come up with the joke. Didn't I?"

That's pretty much how I think most of our right-wing posters here function. I am awed and inspired. Obviously, they are all pretty much gayfish.

This message brought to you by a pretty good Friday night :D

I think you credit some of the Asylum conservatives with too much recognition of reality.

There's more than three, unless you're leaving Varus and ThiefX out for some reason.

If you are, I don't blame you for not wanting to be associated with a terrorist and an idiot.

I don't think it's fair to classify those individuals as conservatives rather than Republicans, lest Ugly gag himself into an early grave.

Yeah LockCole - the other thing about Conservatives is that they all make sweeping generalisations Smiley: oyvey

FYI - there aren't many right wing posters here, and a whole bunch of liberals, so it's no surprise that there are more deluded and idiotic liberals here than right wingers.

You even failed to spell my name right Nobby, but you capitalized right, haha.

I was mostly thinking of Varus and Gbaji, to be fair. But it would have been too long of a title to type out individual names.

It's ok, it was clarified that it's Asylum conservatives. In comparison to Asylum conservatives, I'm Karl Marx.

There are some perfectly tolerable conservatives on this forum. They're still wrong, but meh.

The issue is that, due to extreme peer pressure and an overwhelming liberal majority, the only people who brazenly express conservative opinions are generally those too stupid or arrogant enough to keep it quiet. And because they value volume over logic, they stand out more.

And I hate this whole goddamn conservative/liberal dichotomy anyway. In Australia, the liberals are the conservatives. Conservative should really be presented as opposed to reformist, since that's where the distinction is.

It's funny because I saw that episode a few weeks ago, and when Kyle said that to Cartman, the first things I thought about were gbaji and varrus.

I bet they like fish sticks.

I really <3 that episode, mostly because I detest Kanye so much. His music really isn't that good, and he's got an ego the size of Jupiter. I don't even like Taylor Swift, and his VMA faux pas pissed me off to no end.

/agree mostly, except the part about living in Australia. That's ******* retarded.

Conservatives being the minority definitely makes it hard for the little guys/gals to speak out. I think you see a lot of people post from an adopted middle ground stance when it comes to politics if they're trying to be effective. In order to get the internet to listen to you, you've got to appeal to liberal ideas some. Also, most people don't really strongly identify with the political parties anymore. I think you see a lot more voting decisions being issue based instead of party based. Hardly anyone pulls that party lever any more.

but ya I'm sure a lot of conservatives do brainwash themselves in that Cartman/Kanye way. I'm sure there are liberals that have themselves just as brainwashed convinced that every conservative wants to hunt down and kill minorities for sport/only post like retards on forums.
