The "Danger" of Celebrating HalloweenFollow

So, my perusing of another forum lead me to a link to this gem.

The Danger of Celebrating Halloween

And while obviously an opinion piece, it raises a lot of...issues. I mean, despite the fact that most of it is a lie, I find it also incredibly irresponsible as well as frightening. Not, "boo!" scary, more along the lines of, "how the fuck can anyone believe this crap is actual truth" scary.

However, the blind faith this women has in her own beliefs (she runs her own ministry- Kimberly Daniels Ministries International) in order to circumvent logic to such a degree is admirable. I mean, I don't even have much faith that the sun will come up tomorrow, let alone the faith needed to believe in the Catholic god 100%.

Halloween—October 31—is considered a holiday in the United States. In fact, it rivals Christmas with regard to how widely celebrated it is. Stores that sell only Halloween-related paraphernalia open up a few months before the day and close shortly after it ends. But is Halloween a holiday that Christians should be observing?

The word "holiday" means "holy day." But there is nothing holy about Halloween. The root word of Halloween is "hallow," which means "holy, consecrated and set apart for service." If this holiday is hallowed, whose service is it set apart for? The answer to that question is very easy—Lucifer's!

Lucifer is a part of the demonic godhead. Remember, everything God has, the devil has a counterfeit. Halloween is a counterfeit holy day that is dedicated to celebrating the demonic trinity of : the Luciferian Spirit (the false father); the Antichrist Spirit (the false holy spirit); and the Spirit of Belial (the false son).

The key word in discussing Halloween is "dedicated." It is dedicated to darkness and is an accursed season. During Halloween, time-released curses are always loosed. A time-released curse is a period that has been set aside to release demonic activity and to ensnare souls in great measure.

During this period demons are assigned against those who participate in the rituals and festivities. These demons are automatically drawn to the fetishes that open doors for them to come into the lives of human beings. For example, most of the candy sold during this season has been dedicated and prayed over by witches.

I do not buy candy during the Halloween season. Curses are sent through the tricks and treats of the innocent whether they get it by going door to door or by purchasing it from the local grocery store. The demons cannot tell the difference.

Halloween is much more than a holiday filled with fun and tricks or treats. It is a time for the gathering of evil that masquerades behind the fictitious characters of Dracula, werewolves, mummies and witches on brooms. The truth is that these demons that have been presented as scary cartoons actually exist. I have prayed for witches who are addicted to drinking blood and howling at the moon.

The word "occult" means "secret." The danger of Halloween is not in the scary things we see but in the secret, wicked, cruel activities that go on behind the scenes. These activities include:

* Sex with demons
* Orgies between animals and humans
* Animal and human sacrifices
* Sacrificing babies to shed innocent blood
* Rape and molestation of adults, children and babies
* Revel nights
* Conjuring of demons and casting of spells
* Release of "time-released" curses against the innocent and the ignorant.

There is no doubt in my heart that God is not calling us to replace fall festivals and Halloween activities; rather, He wants us to utterly destroy the deeds of this season. If you or your family members have opened the door to any curses that are released during the demonic fall festivals, renounce them and repent. I already have. Then declare with me: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!"

I also take issue with calling her a "prophetic voice".

And be sure to read & post comments, they're a hoot.

-edit I spelled Halloween wrong.

Whoa. I spent a large portion of my youth surrounded by some of the whackiest Christians you can imagine. I was once informed by a great-aunt with whom I stayed for a summer (and whose church I attended three times a week the entire time) that paying with your credit card at the pump at the gas station was one of the signs of the Beast. I thought I'd heard pretty much everything. But that's just fuckin' WEIRD.

'Scuse me. I need to go take a shower to get the crazy off.

Crap. All this time celebrating and I didn't even know I could have sex with demons and animals and commit rape?! I feel like I just got socks for Christmas. The full potential of the holiday has been missed!

This begs the question: is sex with demons considered "cheating"?

I went to HY-VEE yesterday because they are having a grand opening sale and have some great deals, after getting all the items that were on sale that I needed, I decided to go to the candy aisle to get some treats for the kids. As I was reaching for a bag of Kit-Kats, I saw a demon watching me from the end of the aisle. I put the candy back because I didn't want to be doubly cursed when buying and giving out the candy.

It was a close call.

Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? Queue George Carlins awesome and unending list of these little word plays.

Seriously. The only things that should be worried about on halloween are:
*Stuff put in candy. And really, I am not even sure this is a huge concern as I think its only happened a handful of times.
*kids getting hit by cars
*kids getting snatched by sexual predators.
*not having enough beer to last through handing out candy.

Biggest fear is not having the beer, seconded by kids getting hit by cars. The other two are very minimal.

I actually deal with people like this down here in the south. They are few and far between thankfully, but I've run across a few of them who think celebrating Halloween means you're a satanist. What amuses me to no end is that these people have no clue in hell (no pun intended) how Halloween actually came about, the origins of it, and how much influence the Church has had over this specific holiday. Just the name Halloween itself is derived from the church meaning Holy Evening before Nov 1 which is a church made holiday All Saints Day, created to offset the original holiday Samhain. So technically the name Halloween is created by the Church.

Most of the traditions we have are toned down versions from Samhein anyway.

Last night, we passed by a church - A CHURCH - having a Halloween party for the kids. Ok, sure, they had a banner that said "Harvest Festival" and I didn't see any kids dressed as demons or vampires, but only costumes like soldiers and angels and stuff, but there was face painting and hay rides and CANDY CANDY CANDY and activities for little kids to do. It was a rural mountain community, trick or treating doesn't work when the nearest house is 2 miles up the swively highway.

When I was in high school, some of the parents at my church got their panties in a twist about the idea of their babies celebrating that *gaspZOMG* Pagan holiday! So in order to have a party at our final youth group meeting in October, we had to call it else.

So we had an Oktoberfest party instead. Apparently those parents had no problem with their little sweethearts having a celebration of beer.

I always wished I'd had the balls to fill those parents (particularly the one woman who was the driving force behind the whole thing) in on the origins of Christmas and Easter.

I do this on a regular basis with the womenfolk down here. It's so much fun to show them that their religious holidays are founded upon even more ancient pagan religious holidays. I love telling them where all the symbolism originated from. It usually shuts them up until the next year when I get to do it again Smiley: grin

Our Halloween was always spoil as kids, since the next 2 days we would have to go to Mass. I use to hate how many High Holy days there were around all the good holidays like Xmas and Easter when all one wanted to think about is how much candy or presents you'll get that year.

Now I just wish I could have made it to one of the Samhain rituals I was invited to, after we got back from the Down
Rigging Days in Chestertown. They had a contest where all the locals would decorate the parking meters that was all in fun. Few folk showed up in pirate outfits, but rain may have kept a few away.

We luck out and got to go out on a Buy Boat, the Mildred Belle. The rain let up for the 2 1/2 hour of going up and down the Chester River. I'll post pictures of the tall ships, once I get them all downloaded off my phone.

So now I'll just go up to my room and celebrate the New Year with style as only a solitary witch can.

They're everywhere. One of my friends in high school had parents like this. They gave out Chick Tracts instead of candy every Halloween.

I wonder if that's anything like time-release gel-tabs. If so, I think the devil can expect litigation from big pharma any time now.

I wonder if this is good work for witches. What kind of jobs can they do in the off season really? Work as secretaries for public offices?

With this terrible economy I think it's fantastic that this holiday is opening up job opportunities for witches everywhere. Finally the market will be able to adjust itself with the increased revenue brought in by witches. Dragon's blood, frog eye, signed pictures of Gilbert Gottfried, and cat liver will all surely bounce back from their declining market values.
