This week sucked. Kids and I were sick with H1N1 and I am still getting over it. We haven't been out much and we have no plans for the weekend beyond trying to finally get well. :(

Whatchoo got?

I understand H1N1 can be particularly dangerous to pregnant wimminz. Hope all is well.

Going out to dinner tonight with JUST me and the hubby. I'm gonna rake my yard, toss out the annuals, fold up the clothesline - basically button things down for the winter. I got an appt. to get new tires on my car tomorrow. I'll lounge a bit and probably play some Warhammer.

Pregnant women are in the higher risk category because we essentially have less energy to fight off infection since a good deal of energy goes into baby building. That's presumably why it's taking me twice as long to get well. But, having said that, I can safely say that H1N1 ain't no thing. It's a nasty flu but it's really just like seasonal flu. We have self-quarantined to avoid spreading the germies. Wish more people did that.

I know I'm a few months late, but I finally saw Inglorious Basterds last week. My expectations were pretty low, but I found it pretty awesome. The best since Pulp Fiction, probably. It's kinda silly, but once you accept that, it was pretty great.

And it has the best baddy, like, ever.

My sole plan for the weekend involves getting darqflame to fix what she broke on my account, cutting rather large holes in a perfectly good wall and running cables down walls, and watching the dirt go in behind the ginormous castle wall / retaining wall of doom. other than that, I got nothin!

Get well soon Tare!

This weekend:

1) Trying to figure out what there is to do in the Oconomowoc area in Wisconsin.

2) Holding a very needy puppy, and buying more food for said puppy. (He only pretends to be adorable).

3) Playing Final Fantasy X-2.

4) Studying.

Pretty boring weekend.

Picking up a couch surfer today. He'll be crashing with us overnight. We were a little nervous about him at first because he didn't have any recommendations in the network yet, but since we agreed he's picked up a few positive ones so we should be safe.

Other than that, doing **** all this weekend.

Jonwin is of course working at least part of the weekend. So while he working I'll be vegging out here at the computer and maybe get the energy to start a knitting project.

Sunday Jonwin has a day off, so we are going down to the Renn Faire and enjoy the last day of the Faire. I'm not sure what I'll be wearing on the Day of Wrong. Maybe I'll get out the feathers and furs and vamp it up some.

Will have to be careful to avoid any PETRA members, if I get out the fur stoles my mom own. I now have 2 fox and a mink stole that I remember her wearing years ago. I wouldn't go out and buy myself a fox or mink, but since these were killed before I was born, I figure I may as well get some use out of them.

Plus the mink hand muff was made large enough to put a small purse inside and not worry about loosing it.

Get well soon Tare!

My weekend started an hour ago, when I came home I found out my new MS Natural 4000 keyboard was delivered. Still takes some getting used to, but I'm liking it so far.
Tonight will be just hanging, watching blade runner and drink some beer.
Doing some shopping tomorrow, need a new coat and some other clothes. Tomorrow night will probably be a night out with some friends.
Sunday morning some sports at 10:30, probably some miles on the cross trainer and some weights and stuff. Rest of the day is lazy sunday, apart from visiting the grandparents.

Tare just let me know if you need anything.
We're working on "Sleep Management Training" (i.e. having a mighty battle of wills between Soren and I over where he sleeps. I WILL reclaim my bed damnit!!!) so I'm running on E sleepwise, but I'm starting to see a positive difference. I'm too exhausted to do anything today so we're staying close to home. We were supposed to go to the huge BBQ fest tomorrow but it's 90% chance of rain so the Mr decided to skip it...sigh. If the rain holds off though we may hit the zoo which is having a Halloween event all weekend long and the kids are looking for any excuse to wear their costumes anytime they can.

Sunday we'll either hit the zoo in the morning if we dont make it tomorrow and in the afternoon I may have to go volunteer at a Trunk or Treat my community website is hosting while the Mr brings our kids around and gathers 3 tons of candy.

I worked all week, and continue to work all weekend.

Remodeling a store is not that fun of a job. Only sticking with it because a) we are almost done, and b) I like most of the people I'm stuck working with.

Everyone I live with seems to be getting sick D:
No idea if they have a cold/flu/or pigflu, I hope I luck out. There is only 3-4 more days of work left, I'd like the money and not have to spend it on a Doc visit and meds ;|

Nothing big planned. Headed out tonight to a school carnival. Tomorrow, a guy is coming over to service our water softener while I peak over his shoulder to see how he does it. Sunday is the normal gardening crap. Have to go around the rose bushes and trim the dead bulbs off. Its getting close to major cutback time for them. I seeded and fertilized the lawn last weekend and I am just waiting for the seeds to sprout. Fun times as a home owner!

Hope all you sickies get better soon. :)

I found an apartment finally. It's nice and in a cute little town near Bryn Mawr. In the town, there is a local grocery and a downtown where everyone was so pleasant and helpful.

No work this weekend, and the li'l lady is out shopping and going to some works function this evening.

That leaves me free to finish fine tuning Windows 7 on this rig, and prolly some LoTRO later on.

No plans for tomorrow, so probably pub, walk and chilling in front of the telly.

The TV hanging bracket is on the wall. The special giant recessed box that goes in the middle of the bracket to house the rediculous amount of cables that a modern LCD TV with a computer connection requires to funciton is ran. Down below that, two triple-gang bays are cut in the wall, the right one with video hookup cables and 2 network ports, the left one with all of the 7.1 surround speaker interconnects.

On either side of those, a single gang bay with speaker posts for the right and left floorstanding speakers. Above those two bays, eventually a single gang bay for the center speaker will go somewhere as soon as I figure out exactly where I am putting it.

Also got the two side surround speakers cut and mounted in the wall. I wanted seperate components for the front speakers so I could go a little upmarket on the units and not feel bad about leaving them when I move. The side speakers are not so spiffy, but they will do the job.

The rear speakers are going into the ceiling, and are going to be a complete ***** to install. I'll be replacing some carpeting upstairs with bamboo flooring at some point, and when i have the carpet up, i'll get to take the plywood floor sheet up, or at least part of it, run cable over to the speakers, then drill a hole down the wall and a matching hole inside the wall from under the house, and then somehow magically catch a fish tape. I expect that one will drive me quite insane. well, insane-er. anyways...

I can't hang the TV itself quite yet because I need to get an electrician in to run a single outlet behind the TV into the new super mega wall box of doom specifically designed for that purpose. Once that is in, i also still need to run the Ethernet cable for behind the TV, but I suspect that will be a project for next month so i'll probably wait on that.

After i get all that done, the network cable project starts.

The good news is I only have to do this project once!
