If you want links look them up yourself, like I did.

So once again we have an Obama buddy openly supporting communist regimes.

Your liberal swapping of pronouns from male and female is confusing. Also there is no supporting of communist regimes going on here from your quotes.

What's funny is that I did a Google for the string "he played Anita Dunn’s video making a speech before an assembly of children" just as Varus said I should do and this was the complete article:

Quote:
All that can be said about Glenn Beck’s show yesterday that it was FoX News’ turn to avenge Anita Dunn’s allegation that Fox News is NOT a news channel its Republican channel. As Glenn beck charged his artillery of most stringent of criticism, he played Anita Dunn’s video making a speech before an assembly of children. She said two of her most favorite leaders are Mao Tse Tung and and Mother Teresa. She went on saying that Mao Tse Tung clung to his resolve when everything was under Chiang Kai Shek’s control. He referred to Mao as the leader to whom she turns to most. As Glenn stopped the video, he launched the frontal attack. Mao Tse Tung – who killed more people than anyone else in history. He lifts a book, dramatizing the situation points to the book and says that it is like saying that Adolf Hitler is her most favorite political philosopher and then throws the book down. Glenn said that Mao killed 70.000,000 people as if saying that there are too many people in China and it would not make any difference. Glenn was really unjust in his scathing Dunn.

Dunn really had a point to make. She was referring to the firm resolve Mao has to transform his nation and Glenn just made her look as if she likes the killings and on top of it Glenn totally missed the point that she had referred to Mother Teresa also. She wanted to show the ways the personalities were remarkable which Glenn beck intentionally ignored.

Jophed,

So you think it's a good idea to praise Zedong's methodology in front of children? What's next do we praise Hitler for showing us how a strong leader should be to pre-schoolers?

I'm more curious about why you selectively quoted the article and then refused to link to it.

This is old news that the New York times covered over the weekend. It's a lot more of taking a few statements out of contents and making it sound like an attack of Apple Pie, Motherhood and the Good Old USA.

The Children were graduating high school seniors and it's time people grow up and stop being afraid of the bogyman.

Even though Mao was an commie, he was able to say things worth quoting to young adults, with out fear that they will suddenly become pinko's.

Makes one long for the days after Nixon went to China and quoting the Little Red Book was thought to make one "Cool". Then for some Joe McCarthy will always be a Hero.

How quoting Mother Theresa can be subversive to anyone but the Far Right Conservative Christian, to who papist is link to devil worship, one can just ask them to join the modern world.

A place that is spherical and science has taught us far better understanding of life and how it evolve on earth then any myth they may cling to.

But two out of those three things actually suck, and let it not be thought that I would disparage pie.

What if she was quoting Hitler and placing some of his policies in a good light? Like say gun control and nationalized healthcare.

Then you ask yourself if those policies are worthy of being supported, and judge them on their own merits, because you are an intelligent being capable of separating confluences of political theory into base parts, to be used in a synthesis of your own. Hopefully, people won't let themselves be so easily manipulated by some spectre of the past that they would refuse to even ask the question.

Unfortunately, as you evidence so nicely, that is not the case. Instead of asking the question to yourself of: "what could this woman mean by this assertion, and what positive political ideas might we learn through an examination of Mao," you are so damn terrified of your own shadow that you won't even ask.

Not everything Hitler did was an abomination to mankind.

I think it's time for another Varus bannination party.

I guess some of you find enjoyment in reading his pointless drivel day in and day out and even perhaps responding to it as if some sense will come of the otherwise pigheaded discussion, but really, I can't see the point. This is why we should all have guns.

I don't know what's worse. The fact that it's true or what that truth implies about your obsession with my sister's menstrual cycle. Either way, you're ******* weird.

I think it was odd to see an official who has favorite philosophers, while Sarah Palin can't Supreme Court cases, newspapers, or magazines that she likes.

Gosh, I'm so glad she didn't become the VP.

Maybe it just truly comes out in your posting voice somehow, and Adam is highly attuned to it.
