Also, they're unionized.

Well, that's more than Rush can do so I guess their choice was justified.

Joph,

Yeah Rush only runs the most listened to radio program in the nation. That's nothing compared to being able to run a 4.3 in the 40.

And American Idol is the most watched TV show.

That doesn't stop it from being insipidly obnoxious.

Why the hell shouldn't they be able to?

It's a shame you don't see the difference between these and political views.

Not a surprise, mind you. Just a shame.

You're right. You should start lobbying for laws against political discrimination. There's obviously a need for Republican Affirmative Action policies to help pubbies get ahead in the workplace.

Honestly, I don't give a rat's *** who the NFL allows (or doesn't allow) to buy a team. Vick, Limbaugh, Michael Moore, the Pope, whoever.

What's sad is you think it's funny that an organization can discriminate based on a persons political views. Of course it's not like we didn't know that about you before this happened.
It has nothing to do with his political views, most of the NFL owners share his views. It's his actions they dislike. Kinda like you and Obama.

What actions? The only thing Rush did was say the sports media didn't criticize Mcnabb because he was a black quarterback and they want to see black quarterbacks succeed in the league.

I'm wondering about the views here: are words actions? Actions have consequences, right? So if your words have consequences, they'd be actions?

Just trying to get this cleared up. Otherwise it would look like Varus is trying to (gasp!) purposely misdirect the statement because it's (gasp!) true.

Not that. His constant, blatant, wild rsntings, stretching things so far they're asinine. While they may believe some of what he says, and mostly support GDP tax policies, they don't need the negative attention he draws. They have enough problems with the "criminals" they need to hire to draw fans.

But you people seem to only want to apply those rules to conservative republicans.

Is that why you're advocating affirmative action programs for Republicans?

Ugly,

How about the running back who went on his anti-homosexual rants this past week. If your analysis is correct he should be kicked out of the league permanently. And so should anyone else who makes anything remotely resembling a racist, homophobic, or gender based criticism (on or off the field).

But you people seem to only want to apply those rules to conservative republicans.

H*ll I remember last year Joe Namath getting drunk on tv and harrasing the female reporter assigned to ask him questions. And let's not even get into the athletes in the NFL who are convicted felons.
Why don't you write a letter to the NFL then? It's their policy, not ours. I'm sure they'll take plenty of time to not care what your opinion is.

You mean the running back who doesn't have a talk show speaking to the entire nation? Really? You can't see the difference in scale?

Larry Johnson was immediately barred from all team activities while the facts are reviewed. The episode will cost him his job in KC and likely millions of dollars in future contracts. Also, it wasn't so much a "homosexual rant" as it was use of a three-letter homosexual slur on Twitter.

It'll also free up 10% of my salary cap n my football league. I'm quite happy about that.

I'm sorry you drafted LJ.

I had him the past two seasons in my keeper league, getting to drop him was marvelous.
