Yes, it's my 3rd attempt at properly quitting smoking tobacco. But I'm pretty determined this time, so fingers crossed!

Perhaps we should give you a gold sticker for the effort.

Why, did he cure cancer?

Why, did he cure cancer?
He might in the future prevent cancer. He wants to anyway.

This weekend I'm going to do a lot of relaxing - having had an interview earlier in the week (which I did get worked up about beforehand but am now quietly confident went well) and having had to not only help with organising but attend my daughters harvest festival yesterday, and then make up a costume for book week today, I now have a couple of days where nothing too taxing needs to be done.

I shall probably at some point trundle my laundry up to my mums (my washing machine having died a while ago) and then me and my daughter will most likely stay up there and have dinner with my parents.

On Saturday evening I will be going to the opera, followed by a dinner at a charming French bistro. On Sunday, I will be attending a charity gala supporting young African children, mainly because I want to add one to my collection of foreign brats. My gowns will all be the finest haute couture that not even money can buy. You can only buy it with class!

All this talk of quitting smoking almost makes me want to feel bad. Since things have been tight around here lately I've not bothered for the past few weeks (though the Mrs. still needs her fix). But since I had some money this week I got myself a pack. It really helps with the two-hour-long drives.

It is comforting, though, to know that if I don't have cigs I don't break down and go apeshit crazy. Been even longer since I've had the greens as well.
