Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians! We're celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving here on Saturday, Sunday probably cleaning up, hanging out and catching up on some TV. In other news, I start my second trimester on Saturday so I'm looking forward to feeling better for a little bit anyway.

Check it!

That's some gorgeous cells right there!

I have a quiet week-end in store. Yoga tonight, football tomorrow. For the rest of week-end, I intend to not smoke. And, err, that's about it.

Yes, it's my 3rd attempt at properly quitting smoking tobacco. But I'm pretty determined this time, so fingers crossed!

Tare shouldn't be allowed to celebrate anything Canadian after she abandoned us in our time of need.

I will be celebrating Thanksgiving properly, as a Canadian.

Gawwwwwwwwwwwwdddddddddddddddddd I have to insulate & floor my loft tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to it.

The missus is on a girly night out tomorrow night, so it's either some films or some WoW and definitely a few beers with takeway.

Hey, when I left things were going ok. There was no Robo-Harper at the helm.

And believe me, if I could get home.......I would. :(

I will be quitting soon as well. Currently, I am expressly forbidden to quit until Smash is "done quitting"...whateverthehell that means.

Tonight the Hanner and I head south, not sure what we're doing tomorrow. Sunday we're going to a museum. Monday is up in the air. Tuesday we're driving home and may stop a few places along the way.

Not much particularly planned except watching the Sox and opening the new case of wine. Mostly I'll be trying to not get sick with whatever nasty thing my roommate has had all week.

I'm currently hostessing for 4 houseguests from 'away', Mom&Dad In-law, Sis&Bro In-law. I just rolled up a zillion bigs-in-a-blanket for breakfast - my fingers are hot hot hot. Every meal is a production...bleh. This is only day 2 of 14. I will surely end up in a fight with my hubby before this is over. But, um, it's nice to see them.

We're heading out to Bah Harbor to site-see in a few. It's supposed to rain. Smiley: frown

Does anyone feel for me yet...??

The better news is my daughter arrives home tonight. I've not seen her since Easter and miss her to pieces.

I have the day off from work - unpaid - cuz of a budget shortfall. But I have Monday off too - paid - cuz of Columbus. And Tuesday off too cuz of my b-day. Smiley: grin

Happy T-day to the Canuks.

Tare your baby looks perfect - I love it's little fins! Is it a boy or girl?

on the way back from wenatchee, I bought a $5 bag of corn at one of the fruit stands on a lark. Turns out a $5 bag of corn weighs 100 pounds and consists of approximatly 60 ears of corn. So i'll be making corn everything this weekend. I may even try some experimental stuff, like corned corn and corn (instead of corned beef and cabbage) or maybe even cornjugating a verb?

Also, i don't want to alarm you Tare, but there appears to be a baby growing in the picture you linked. and it has popeye the sailor man's head for a foot apperently!

You can do it! And if you need distraction, look up the meaning of the phrase "cross (one's) fingers".

Tare, your lil fetus appears to be doing the Bunny Hop.

No specific plans here except to decompress. This has been a hell of a week.

GL quitting Red. And Tare, very cool pic. Still need name help? Mr. DSD offers his advice Smiley: nod

We are dealing with a combo of H1N1 and pneumonia in the house this week and I see no changes in the foreseeable future. Xavier was diagnosed on Wed and is starting to do better but not out of the woods yet, and the MR says he feels like he was hit by a train (and looks it) while Ashe is coughing and has a stuffy nose. I'm taking anything I can get my hands on to keep myself from becoming a victim of the flu (one of us adults needs to be able to keep standing and fight the good fight) and Soren is being kept away from his brothers as much as is possible in a little town home.

If Im still sane by Monday Ill consider that an accomplishment. Right now I feel like Nurse Ratchett doling out meds to everyone.

This weekend grilling steaks and partying on multi-million dollar yachts at the vol navy, weather permitting. Sunday sleeping, maybe make some corn beef and cabbage.

Jonwin's weekend was yesterday and we headed out with his nephew, to Loch Raven to visit some of the places his father used to go often.

Tonight is a family gathering for pizza and since Jonwin is working today, I'm getting a ride from another of Jonwin's brothers. His sister promised they would get me something without Dairy products to eat, while I suffer thinking about how yummy the cheese on pizza tastes. She mention Salmon, which is one of the few foods that would make having to go without pizza worthwhile for one night.

Rest of the weekend depends on how I feel, as I may go to the Renn Faire with my daughter in my good corset. Sunday her S.O. is going to be in the Greenman march so if I go then there may be a gathering after the fair closes that I'll have to hang around for.

Meanwhile the drama with my ex continues, as they asked daughter why all their old friends were snubbing her at the faire last week. We both agree that if she told her the reasons, my ex would blame everyone instead of realizing how her behavior caused them to loose all respect for her.

*For those that at new here, the pronouns may cause some confusion. Just know that my ex is a pre-op transgender m-f. They refuse to believe that they could ever do any wrong and it's everyone's else fault that things go wrong. The He I loved never existed in reality but was all a show to try to fit in as a male before I convince them that they had to accept that they were transsexual. Then the last 15 years they were trying to hid and work as a man was all my fault.Smiley: oyvey

Friday:
Getting over the hell of the "1st week back at work after a vacation". Will almost certainly involve alcohol and exploring the warmer parts of the future-ex-Mrs Nobby's anatomy.

Saturday:
Girlfriend's hair appointment, so bloke time for me - LoTRO, lay down a few more tracks (I feel a guitar & synth session coming on) and will prolly cook something nice. (Pumpkins back in season, so prolly my spicy soup - see recipes passim)

Sunday:
Brother's racing again, so a day at the motor track, loitering in the pits, eating proper race-track burgers (approx 4% meat) and cringing at each *************** crash.

Oh, and Redphoenixxx - for the whole time, I will enjoy the soothing calm of each tarry lungful of lovely lovely tobacco smoke Smiley: sly

Today:

I think I Finally found a dentist who will take a look at my infected tooth for me.(my dentist has decided that because I didn't show up to an appointment I made in 2006, that a very painful, potentially deadly condition can wait 5 weeks to be looked at), so I'll be going across town to see him.

Saturday:

I work until 3, then I'll probably be lazy.

Sunday:

Nothing but laziness...
