Like Vidal/Buckley?

I liked the part where one Godwin's the other.

You know what I like about Gore? His name.

You know what I like about Buckley? He's dead.

What makes me laugh about zepoodle is how shallow his analysis is and how specific it is. No, zepoodle, I'm not "backpedaling" and there is nothing impressive about the information you are presenting. He also likes to say the "f" word because he thinks he sounds more manly.

Didn't you just switch into humanities, or do I misremember? I ask because I can't tell if you're a science student making disparaging remarks, or if you're a humanities student making self-disparaging remarks.
I was originally a lolbusiness major until I learned how much I disliked it. Then I switched to mathematics.

Right after? I could live with that.

Actually, I decided to go for law, so that I might spread evil without repercussion.

Sweetums is merely angry because her life has not been filled up by the theorizing it takes to be a complete human being.

Kavekk goes for law because it will help him become more evil. Zepoodle is going for law because he lacks the vision to do anything else.

Anna, although we've discussed this previously I once again feel the need to remind you: I am not Brownduck, and you have no real reason to hate me. You just do it because, apparently, hating people in a loud and vulgar manner gives you an erection.

I'm also right, but that doesn't really mean anything to you, does it. What worth are "facts" and "evidence" when you have volume and vulgar rhetoric? You'd decided I was wrong before you read my post, and you weren't going to let something as flimsy as proof get in the way of your aimless senile rampage.

No, Anna, you keep on acting like we're mortal enemies or some **** because your Alzheimers-muddled mind confused me with someone else you argued with years ago. I mean, there's no reason for you to stop when everyone thinks it's so funny.

Ah, hon, I know my "meanness" gets through to you and you have the delusion that your analysis in history "makes you right" as if we were functioning in the 50s and you were the great modern man. Now, I could get into something about the nature of truth in contemporary historical analysis but I think that's be beyond you. I will say as I always have, you were both strident and incorrect because you didn't answer the question. You ****** off (in a unqualified way) about your thesis and when you were called on it, you responded in horror. And you offered citations, which was cute, sort of.

Sorry to offend you by being "vulgar." You are a delicate flower and despite your excessive use of the "f" word and the asinine way you entered this thread, you are the wounded party. Poor zepoodle. All you wanted to be is a self-righteous prick and I was mean to you.

Boo!

Girls are mean.

I'm actually not self-absorbed enough to pretend I'm the only person reading this thread who hasn't done extensive study into ancient Greece and Rome, much less history in general. I suppose I could if you want to be a ***** about it though.

I also don't understand how "Wow, zepoodle replied in a douche-y manner" is supposed to fill me with broad historical knowledge. Or was he right for the time period he later specified so I haven't really missed anything? Is this still going just to reaffirm that he was being an *******?

I know. Poor little zepoodle. I'm so mean. Asking him to qualify himself about his inaccurate presentation and then not being supernice to him when he's being a prick. Good thing you are there to stick up to him. He's delicate. He needs you.

And yes, in response to someone talking about Greece and Rome, he continues to tell everyone how "f*cking wrong" they are and then only talks about the early Roman Republic. He needed to qualify it because his statements had nothing to do with the majority of time of the Roman Empire and has absolutely nothing to do with Greece (the time and place that actually people are thinking of when they refer to a time where same sex relations were more frequent) and then he acts outraged because I don't pat him on his head. And no one is definitively "right" about their interpretation of history or gets really outraged when people make other interpretations, including ones that are in popular culture.

He'd be better off just saying "Actually, the Greeks and the Romans didn't have a concept of homosexuality as separate identity like we do now" and that would be more accurate than the ******* he did--the ******* that muddied the water.

Are you seriously that butthurt that zepoodle was an @#%^ with his presentation in The Asylum? There, there, Anna. I'm really sorry that he was oh-so-mean. I'm also really sorry that I was genuinely interested in the subject material and actually wanted this information I figured you had. Considering, you know, that you keep telling him how wrong he is.

I now understand that you have no clue what the hell you're talking about just as much as zepoodle apparently has no idea what the hell he's talking about, so I'll just move along, pretending neither of you said anything at all, and let you get back to crying about how mean he is!

EDIT: THANK YOU. Christ, was that so hard?

You are quite the advocate for zepoodle. You should be so proud. Sweetie, let me give you a little hint. When zepoodle and you get angry about me being a big bad lady who castigates you poor little boys, don't act outraged when I give you as good as you give yourself. Okay?

I know it's hard to see how your pal is a hypocrite because he's a special snowflake like you.

I know and you've been a perfect model of a gentleman and a scholar. Also, boy, you should get someone at Harvard to get you on their faculty because you nailed that whole Roman history thing with your books.

I never claimed to be a gentleman. You, however, claimed to be an adult.
