Patriotism aside, Rio was a good choice. South America was overdue, and from what I hear Rio is kinda nice.

I think Rio is a great site. I think all competitors must get a Brazilian wax. Would make for some interesting looks in the swim meets.

True, I'm eager to see the opening show that Brazil would put on too.

I picture hundreds of women banging on drums in complete harmony, whilst wearing string bikinis.

Lots of beads and feathers. And whistles.

Oh, and James Bond being chased through it all, followed closely by some would-be assassins.

Ah. You're clearly a victim of the "newer" Bond movies. I've precisely described a scene from an earlier Bond movie.

It looks to me like the Prez has lost his mojo, baby. All that magical Obama-ness and nothing to show for it. Poor guy. Imagine being the most popular person in the world and you can't get anything you want done.

Maybe he should have hired some mercs to intimidate the Olympic committee into acquiescence.

All of those lives lost in Afghanistan during the time Obama could've spent dealing with that instead of lobbying for Chicago to be the host city.
This is a point I haven't heard before. If only he had been in his office talking to people about Afghanistan instead of somewhere else talking about something else, then those soldiers wouldn't have died.

Don't tell me, I'll set myself up for the pun. Black magic, right?

They're alright, but if we were to find an island country of men with dark hair and blue/green eyes, the Olympics should be held there instead.

Pretty happy Rio got it. I think some people at my work mentioned that theres never been a summer games in South America.

I had to chuckle a bit at this line though.

Lewis' first Olympics was in 1984. She was still sitting on daddy's lap at age 20 huh? I guess some speech writer is getting fired at some point. lol

Well, I think it's clear she was reminiscing about fond memroeis she shared with her father, some while she was young enough to be sittign on his lap, others just spent with him, but if you're retarded enough to not see the difference, then yes, she's a lying two bit *****.
