And by sorting it out you mean allow them to nuke Israel.

Iran is under just as much a nuclear threat from Israel as vice versa. Why are we fellating the Israelis again?

No, I meant that Iranians will elect a more moderate government eventually. They've come close a couple of times already.

They aren't going to nuke anyone. It's suicide.

Funny you talking about the Dems rolling W when the Dems are trying to blame the failing healthcare bill on the GOP even though the GOP doesn't have control of congress or the presidency.

So you agree with me that the democrats should stop listening to republican idiocy in congress and disregard any input whatsoever from them, pushing a bill into law that would benefit the people even though it would incite much rage in the process? Hot damn varus, I didn't know you had it in you.

Indeed, Iran was involved in neither the Six Day War or the Yom Kippur War. I bet Varrus thinks it's an Arab nation, too.

That's pretty ineffectual leadership on Bush's part, wouldn't you agree?

If the Democrats fail to pass meaningful health care legislation, I'll be the first to say that the blame for it falls on the Democrats. In fact, I was saying just the other day that the Democrats need to stop worrying about the GOP, circle their own wagons and get something pushed through. Worrying about the GOP is just slowing things down.

Now, having said that, we both know you'll personally never admit to any failings of Bush or the GOP and always cry about the Democrats. If you and Gbaji didn't have "But... but... but the Democrats!!!! Smiley: cry" to fall back on, you wouldn't have anything to say at all.

Iranian nukes provide very limited strategic value and next to no tactical value.

The entire program is for political capital.

In order to stop doing something you have to begin first. The Dems have not listened to a word one from the GOP.

"If by "benefit the people" you mean increase unemployment and damage the healthcare system beyond repair then yeah.

He's a puppet with no real power. Why do you guys care so much about what he has to say?

Thread title should be: How do you solve a problem like Grand Ayatollah Khamenei?

He's the real decider over there.

Ah the ever popular "you're stupid" response. Democrats love this one when they have nothing else to say. When in doubt simply follow Obama's lead and say "that's stupid".

Nope, I read through the bill, analyzed it, and extrapolated it's ramifications for the industries affected. Not the most recent one, but I've been trying to stay abreast of modifications. Can you say the same? Can you show me what you perceive as "damaging health care beyond repair"?

You've got to remember, the younger 2/3 of the population of Iran actually kinda likes the United States, hate Ahmadinejad, and would gladly start a second revolution if given proper outside support.

Hell, a ton of user icons on Twitter are still bright green, including mine.

I do.

You seem to have "listening to" confused with "fellating and obeying the every whim of."

Okay, okay, so I didn't remember the exact wording, so sue me

That reminds me...I haven't used Twitter since immediately after the "elections" (I hadn't used Twitter before then, either) but I think I still have a "Free Iran" icon...

That sounds eerily familiar to sentiments expressed from the White House just before we invaded Iraq back under George Bush Sr.

Absolutely. Hence the whole thing with the elections and the multi-branched government and...

Wait, are you seriously comparing having a chief executive who gets things accomplished to a "dictatorship"?

Quote:

A watered down and compromise-riddled Senate bill says "yes".

Do you honestly believe the GOP spent one second trying to honestly inject some of their ideas into the health care debate rather than trying to sink it in order to "break" Obama?

Quote:
But we do have it because it does it exist.

What exists? A history of weak and ineffectual leadership from the GOP which led to Pubbies currently crying about how the scary Democrats stopped their hero from doing anything? Well, if you say so.

You mean besides running competitive insurance businesses out of business by artificially deflating the cost of care? Or would you like to talk about how small businesses bottom line are going to increase because they're going to have to foot the bill for their employees care thereby causing a dip in new hires?

It's one or the other. Either private insurance companies suffer because their rates are deflated, OR small businesses suffer because they can't afford astronomical insurance rates for their employees. You cannot have it both ways.

He was in the Senate during Bush's term.

So you're saying Bush was such a weak leader that he couldn't get his agenda past the very definition of a limp **** liberal.

Ok, you said it, not me. Man, our last president was pathetic, huh?
