One reason, and one alone. Sockpuppets **** me off. People making sockpuppets on my board, really pisses me off. and people making puppets in Asylum and attempting to mask their trails using a proxy so I won't catch them really, really, really **** me off.

Haha, a fake varrus sock from Chicago? The significance is delicious! I wonder if it could be spoofed from that specific location?

Maybe, but it's not like I go out of my way to avoid the idiots either. I like banning people.

You would be suprised how often people slip up when making their socks. they don't think to check the little things. you know, like what e-mail address they used to sign it up with, or will they never remember to use that proxy again. Or the other things. Little things. Who knows what they might have forgot this time. add a bit of pattern matching, a few other tricks, and poof! there you go.

It's just a matter of waiting. They always slip up eventually.

I guess that rules Nobby out.
...or does it. Smiley: sly

I think part of the problem with socks, now, is that they are so disposable. It used to be that we'd darn our socks indefinitely. Now we toss them out at the first sign of hole...or even if they're just kinda dirty.
