Of the trailer for one of the movies my daughter did last year.

Absolution 2: Cry of the Innocent.

The streaming is choppy so apologies for that. Charmaine has an extensive speaking part in it so I'm a bit disappointed that none of that was shown in the trailer and she's portrayed as some scared little girl. But actually what happens in the movie is that the 3 adults she's with don't man up and she's the one that sacrifices herself to save them. Smiley: lol

You know, Thumb, I think you'd do great in a porno. I don't think you need to live vicariously through Charmaine.

Wow, Charmaine's very pretty, and she has a great line in very soulful upwards looks.

No sound here in work, but looks good.

Gratz to you and your kid.

Not that this movie is R rated but I was thinking about that the other day. And what's more do you think the parents of these children let them watch the finished product?

Just a thought.

You're such a @#%^ing twit. Why didn't you just direct the question to Thumb and ask why she chose to allow her daughter to appear. (Which I believe was covered in the previous thread we had about her getting into the mooovies).

BTW, the trailer looked fun. I wish I could stop watching B movies :(

From what I understand being in a movie is so disconnected from the final product that it's not like an R-rated experience anyway (badly faked sex scenes aside, or maybe not). Every scene is lined up, rehearsed, shot, realigned, rehearsed, shot, evaluated, re-shot.... it's reputedly a very tedious experience.

I'm sure Thumb can speak more to that aspect if she will.

This is one of the reasons why many actors prefer stage work instead of film or even TV (which is similar to film but on a much tighter schedule, so less repetitive).

I can't imagine that a kid subjected to the technical aspects of making a film ("Hold still darling, while we drip this red corn syrup on you. I know it's sweet, stop licking your fingers...") is going to be traumatized by the subject matter. Or watching it for that matter. "Hey, that's where stuntman Fred jumps off the roof with a chainsaw onto the car full of teenagers! You can't even see the ropes!"

I think if anything it would teach a kid that Hollywood is very fake and unrealistic. However with every child star comes a lifetime pass to rehab.

Which begs the question "is having your child in movies really worth the obvious risk to them becoming completely f*cked up?"

So what roles did you star in as a kid?

It's worth a shot.

This is not meant as a slight to your daughter's acting career, but that movie looks terrible. Those guys seem more like comedians on a sketch show mocking a thriller movie than actual thriller actors.

Maybe the actual thriller actors weren't available.
