Quote:
A US judge in Virginia has set a 10 November execution date for the man behind the 2002 sniper attacks on the Washington DC area.

John Allen Muhammad was sentenced to death for the murder of Dean Meyers, one of 10 people killed during the shootings.

Muhammad's teenage accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo is serving life in prison for his part in the attacks.

Muhammad's lawyer said his client would appeal to the US Supreme Court.

The lawyer, Jonathan Sheldon, also said he would ask Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine for clemency.

Muhammad and Malvo killed six people in Alabama and Louisiana before moving on to Maryland, Washington and Virginia.

Mr Meyers was shot at a petrol station in Manassas, Virginia.

Meh...I'm still on the fence (non-electrical) about whether I'm signed up to the death penalty. I mean this was a ****** up guy, but what is going to be achieved by sending him to the chair?

To prevent people like him ever walking the streets again. Who knows, maybe he'll get prostate cancer in a few years.

Though similar in appearance, it is worth mentioning that in proper skullfucking etiquette, aqueous solution and skull bits should not be confused, for the former is lubrication, and the later is laceration.

I read it Pensive, as it was short, and saw the irony.

I rated you up! But it didn't show. Smiley: glare'

Also I might have rated you up for not quite exactly what you were intending.

That's what I was trying to elucidate too, but in fewer words. Which is possibly why I failed to communicate my meaning.

Your words are assonantly poetic.

We can achieve wasting taxpayer money. Truefax: It costs more to carry out a death sentence than to incarcerate for life.

Really? Are you sure about that, because this is the first I've ever heard that before.

I'm pretty sure, unless the numbers have changed since I did a project on it in 7th grade.

Quote:

“The additional cost of confining an inmate to death row, as compared to the maximum security prisons where those sentenced to life without possibility of parole ordinarily serve their sentences, is $90,000 per year per inmate. With California’s current death row population of 670, that accounts for $63.3 million annually.”

I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

This being the internet, I decided that it would be foolish to give him the benefit of the doubt.
