Breaking news on CNN is that Patrick Swayze is dead. No article corresponding yet.

Red Dawn was the first movie I saw him in, and I was a big fan of that flick back in the day. Strangely, some friends and I watched it again about a year ago. It definitely wasn't as good as I remembered.

I admired the fact he had a sense of humor, the SNL skit with Chris Farly comes to mind, and that movie where he dressed in drag. That takes balls.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I can't say that.

Conversation while driving to work this morning:

Me: "Why do you sound so happy this morning?"
Smash: "Patrick Swayze died!"
Me: "Why would you be happy about that? I like Patrick Swayze!"
Smash: "Why would you like Patrick Swayze?! He hated old people...and dogs!"
Me: "Oh he did not...he was really a very nice guy!"
Smash: "He hit his wife!"
Me: "He didn't either! They were very much in love and married forever!"
Smash: "No, that wasn't his wife...that was the robot he built in her likeness after he ripped her throat out with his bare hands!"
Me: "That's not even funny, they were really cute together."
Smash: "Sam Elliot tried to get him to go into rehab, but I guess it didn't work out."

*sigh*

I'm impressed he lived as long as he did after diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is a *****.

You realize that Smash had better make a killing at the tables just to pay for Hannah's therapy, right? Or maybe the other way around. Hard to say...

Pretty sure Hannah will be the winner in that match up.
