I'm all for investigating the improper use of tax payer dollars. However, with Blackwater a certain amount of discretion is advised considering they have miliary tactical knowledge of what's going on in Iraq. What we don't do is allow them to be hauled before foreign tribunals. I know there's a subtle difference but i'm sure with a little effort you can figure it out.

Spin! Spin! SPIN!!!!

Who's talking foreign tribunals, you idiot? I'm talking about them stealing and wasting many, many, many times more tax-payer dollars than Acorn will ever see. Once again, you waver and hedge and stutter and stammer to cover for your obvious disinterest in tax-payer dollars being stolen by people your party is in bed with.

Surprising? No... not really.

Yeah, we all know you're over there quivering and crying in defense of your beloved Halliburton & Blackwater. You don't need to keep reminding us.

In political terms it's a hell of a lot more compelling than "********... ********... ********."

Hahaha.. I was waiting for you to say this, you ******.

You brought up Halliburton in this thread.
The first mention of Halliburton in this thread was when your retarded *** wrote:
Funny how you people had a problem with Cheney's connection to Halliburton but don't seem to mind so much Obama's connection with just, if not more, corrupt organization.

Then, when it was pointed out that Halliburton has mysteriously "lost" two hundred twenty-seven times more taxpayer dollars since 2003 than Acorn has taken in total since 1994, you began frantically spinning and falling all over yourself to explain why Halliburton really wasn't that bad an abuse of tax-payer dollars but Acorn is really, really bad.

Then you lost it all together and started saying that Democrats always bring up Halliburton Smiley: laugh

Wow... you're an idiot.

Edit: Whoops... I grossly overfigured how much Acorn had taken in federal funds. The real answer about doubles Halliburton's tax-payer money abuses.

You obviously missed the point of that post. But you're right I brought up Halliburton as point that Democrats could care less about fraud and waste, unless it involves the military. Democrats are more likely to attack companies that directly assist the US military as opposed to community organizers, Acorn, whose only responsibility is getting as many votes as possible. I know this is a lot to bite off, especially for you.

Before all this Acorn was positioned to get how much? And they do what?

How many major cities is it now? And their efforts and money played no small role in getting Obama elected. You're insane if you think Acorn and Obama are mutually exclusive.

Are you seriously comparing a non-profit organization and a company that operates for profit?

How many billions was acorn set to get?

Zero. Zero billion.

I assume you're talking about the stimulus package. The money in which that Acorn could have gotten would have required competitive bidding for federal grants and the vast majority of which (out of the hyped "$4 billion!") Acorn stated it had no interest or intention of bidding on since it was stuff far outside their sphere such as public housing renovation.

So the answer is zero. Acorn was set to receive zero billion dollars. I'm sorry Rush and Glen lied to you Smiley: frown

No, I got the point. You were trying to score points, oblivious to the fact that the misuse of tax-payer dollars from Halliburton is exponentially greater than anything Acorn has ever done in its entire history.

You're an idiot. We get it.

That's cute. How many billions was acorn set to get? At least Halliburton is responsible to a board of directors; whereas acorn is accountable to whom?

Responsibility to a board of directors is generally an incredibly weak responsibility. Not only are they generally full of ex-leadership, but with the way investor markets are built, generic shareholders don't pull much weight.

Also, severance packages are built such that leadership failures that require board of director intervention are financially encouraged, which is frankly retarded at best (Like Alan Fishman, who ran a company into the ground in 17 days and was given 19M. Although to be fair, the economic meltdown probably had more to do with it than his leadership. But 19M for 17 days isn't bad, roughly $140,000/hr of work. If I have a chance when I'm less busy I'm sure I could find many other examples)

In addition, a board of directors and the company as a whole have a mutual self-interest which do not coincide, and are in fact generally opposed, with the interests of those that hire them, especially if those funding it are taxpayers.

The fourth video is out, this one from California and featuring an employee who claims to be a madam, says she's killed people and brags about lobbying federal employees, including Sen. Boxer.
Examiner wrote:
ACORN employee Tresa Kaelke, told O'Keefe and Giles that she ran a prostitution business and that she knows how not to get caught. She would make $15,000 a month and the women who worked for her 10k. She told Giles, that if she beat the girls working for her, she would "get more out of them." and that prostitution should be legal.

Kelke goes on to tell how she shot and killed her husband. She claims it was in self defense but says that she laid groundwork before, talking to agencies on how her husband was beating her. She said she has no problem with killing people.
[...]
Kelke then talked about how on a daily basis she lobbies State and Federal lawmakers on a daily basis. She name dropped some California state lawmakers and on a Federal level, United States Senator Barbara Boxer. There is no statement as of yet from Boxer's office, but in a vote Monday she was one of 83 senators to approve of an amendment to defund ACORN.
