I'm pretty sure you've just forgotten some his old gems out of self defence.

Texas maintains control over a state the size of a small country by instilling as much fear in the populace as possible. As Texas is the only state to join the union as a country with it's own federal government, that state has secession rights should it choose to leave the Union. To prevent breakdown of law and order it is essential that the Texas government maintain a reputation of intolerance toward crime that is strictly and fatally enforced. Particularly since the official stance of Texas is against Obama's government, and Texas could pretty much go at any time if Obama doesn't play poker right. That said Yes Texas does have a quota, and no they don't care he was innocent.

That frigging movie Alamo (the first one, not that crap remake) set this whole succession ideal off. No state has any right or privilege to succeed from the United States.

Everyone needs a hobby.

Texas has it's executions.

What do you have against hobbyists?

And Texas Department of Corrections has become quite skilled at their hobby. However, they still can't figure out how to keep the inmates from threatening politicians while on death row. (can't find the article as of right now on that)

You're saying that no state has the right to succeed??

Now, if we were talking secession there are a few I would like to forcefully expel.

edit: when correcting another's terminology, please use the correct terminology yourself

If you believe in Hell, odds are you're a Christian.

Don't Christians believe that anyone can be saved, at any stage in life, no matter what sins they committed in the past?

Rehabilitation, which allows a criminal a chance to rejoin society as a productive person, also gives someone an opportunity to be saved and avoid hell entirely.

You'd think WAY more Christians would advocate it in that case.

After their appointment, no one ever had to be treated for another medical condition. No other medical institution can boast that kind of effectiveness.

Often, the doctors were even able to cure entirely new diseases that the patients didn't develop until they were safely in the care of the hospital. Verily, God must have been with the patients, for He allowed them to stave off infection until it was easily cued.
