I have a few extra League of Legend beta keys so I figured I'd give them out here in the forums to 1. Make sure you guys get them and 2. So you can post your feedback about the game in this thread. If you want a beta key to give the game a try, shoot me a PM.

Out of the three most prominent games in this genre (LoL creator has tried to force moba, some others have been calling them dota-alikes, and still others are inventing their own terms) I have found I prefer Heroes of Newerth the most.

Looks pretty cool. But I'll pass on the beta and let someone that would actually play take a key, haha. Just not sure if that's my kind of game.

I'm hoping for some of the next generation games to try to implement a Hero & squad type system (Think DoW:2 style control, but a bit smaller in terms of a single squad per player) Instead of the DotA lanes and waves, a more strategic battlefield would be great as well. I have a feeling that a system like this is the new direction for RTS games. (For an example of the feel, look up Shattered Galaxy, albeit the goal would be to have structures and more strategic elements)

Yes it's going to be Free to Play. You won't actually have to buy the game when it launches which is pretty awesome. That said, you can help support these guys by pre-ordering the Collectors Edition.
Keep in mind that the game is still in closed beta and you'll be under an NDA if you decide to play. Please save your feedback for when the NDA is lifted.

Meh, I was moreso hoping to hear some gossip about people from the Asylum hooking up. Which has happened at least 4 times that I'm aware of.

Thanks for the keys, dling now. If its anything like dota (especially if its an upgrade) its going to be a real hit! Looking forward to trying it out.
