It's safe. I've seen it before.

The site is dumb though.

I saw a preview for a big disaster movie called "2012" or something. I wonder if it's the same thing? It looked like fun, I like disaster movies. I really liked The Day After Tomorrow. Some of the scenes were spectacular in the cinema. Then that awful Boxing Day Tsunami happened, and we all saw what a real tsunami looks like, and the pristine, debrisless water covering New York in the movie just looked so fake when I saw the movie again later.

Yup clicked the link and it looks like it's for "2012". While 2012 promises even more spectacular cataclysms than The Day After Tomorrow, I have to confess that I'm looking forward to "Avatar" more. And I bet either of them don't beat my enjoyment of the recent "Star Trek", and "Ponyo".

2012 looks like the movie of my wet dreams. I'm not even kidding, I get all giddy just thinking about it.

I saw a commercial for the IHC on TV; it looked really cool. The movie 2012, on the other hand, does not interest me at all.

2012 movie does look pretty interesting. I've read things from other blogs and such that's the year the world is going to end. But I been hearing that forever. I probably wont be alive when the world comes to an end. I mean it will happen just not in my life time. :)

Methane only stays in the air for about 15 years average before it recycles out of the air, which is usually why CO2 is the more concerning greenhouse gas, as it stays in the atmosphere for about 150 years average before being recycled out.

However, if temperatures rise high enough to melt the massive amount of methane clathrates in the northern tundras and the sea floor all at once then we're fucked. Completely fucked.

If a large amount of methane was released into the atmosphere, though, it wouldn't be a brief period of intense heat, as its atmospheric half life increases greatly when there's a lot of it around.
