Mmmm, peeling sunburn.

Sucks for your back, though, Multi. Too hard to peel.

Is that that big mythical yellow round thing that lives in that supposed blue stuff above the nice normal grey sky?

Beach. I did try using sunblock but it was apparently no match for the might of the Atlantic ocean.

I have a feeling these beaches are conspiring against us.

He liked it. Wasn't enraptured or anything but definitely had fun in it and enjoyed the waves. Again, I think the Great Lakes stole the ocean's thunder on the "Whole lotta water" front and the waves, saline levels and occasional sand crab discovery were the major highlights.

None by us. We had the option of hitting a more private beach but the womenfolk demanded the modern amenities of the public Virginia Beach. I tried to convince them to just **** in Poseidon's dominion but you know how it is with girls.

Speaking of girls, I saw some young filly lose her bikini top to the waves which I thought only happened in teen sex-coms.

When I was on the beach in Spain last week, most of the women were topless.

Come to think of it, msot of the men were topless too. Equality of the sexes ftw.

In butter then whip it at cars.

Glad you guys had fun. I'm one of the lucky ones where I rarely ever peel and if I do, it's for half a day and then it's all gone and I'm back to a natural sun-kiss.

I got one today. I was making a sandwich and I had the baby on the counter next to me.. He spit up and I ended up catching it and going straight to the sink and washing up. I came back, put the last piece of bread over my sandwich and bit into it. Yup. I ate his spit up. Some of it must of dripped. I am forever afraid to eat a sandwich made by me again. Ew

I am presently avoiding the sun as I am on a doxycycline treatment for a prolonged exposure to malaria this past week on my way home from the Heart of Darkness.

In anticipation for the 2010 World Cup and the continental qualifiers in various countries around Africa, including Angola, the airport in Luanda no longer keeps people inside away from the mosquitos while we wait for our flights. Now we wait outside for prolonged periods milling about smartly looking for all the world like either epileptics suffering from a seizure or demon possessed tourists slapping and gestulating wildly while being liberally sprayed with holy water in a futile attempt to ward off the nasty little bloodsuckers.

Couple that with a miserable sinus infection from the dust out here in Kali and I am imprisoned inside my home away from allergens and sunlight. I feel like a second rate vampire.
:(

It's been a while since I read that book, but wasn't London supposed to be the heart of darkness?
