I have a good guess what his future career will be.

I don't think that's really long for a newborn. Also, width.

Gratz on the baby! Now that you have one of each, are you done?

its average however my babies tend to shoot up into the 95th percentile for height once they start growing. (Suki is past that - at just 1 year she is 33 1/2 inches tall)

I dont know if we are done forever but for at least a feew years we are...I want these two out of diapers before we even think of having more.

Mine was 19 inces long when he was born and now 27.5 at 5.5 months. I'm hoping he will be around 5'8 but who knows? You look very tall.. I will not be suprised if your son is around 6FT

Either way it will look weird later on when we are standing next to our boys and they are taller than us.

Wow, you lost 7.8 pounds in one day, niobia? It's good to see that there are some women trying to lose some weight around here.

Grats and all that jazz.

he's so mellow and I am adjusting to the speed factor in changing a little boy. It appears that he get my eye color (his centers are already lightening like mine did - its like a crystal blue) Suki has already stolen his pacifier out of his mouth and put it in hers.

Dad was able to hear him coo over the phone. :)

Screenshot
the "dress" is from his greatgrandfather.

-- I don't know if we are done yet but we will ait till these two are out of diapers. we are both only children so that has an effect on our views.

I'm glad I had the wild little girl first. I wonder if he will stay mellow?

My second was mellower then my first, from day one. I think it wore off by about age one. But she was significantly easier for that period of time. Now she's a wailer. Her only volume settings are earsplitting and off. But she still doesn't cry as much as my older girl did (mine are both girls).

Congratulations and I wish your family all the best.

The biggest thing to remember on changing a boy's diaper is to keep the old diaper on until you are absolutely ready to put on the new one.

You're giving him formula? There's nothing worse than a newborn hopped up on extra-caffeinated breast milk.

Or are you drinking that nasty decaf stuff?

Thats completely dependent on each infant. I drink regular coffee with no issues to the baby. Some are more sensitive to caffeine but the majority are not.
