I'm sure she won't mind me posting this here...but she gave birth today to a 7.8lb, 19 inch long baby boy! Mom and baby are well!

Congratulations!

I'd congratulate her, but that seems awkwardly like congratulating someone for taking an extremely large dump.

Yes, pregnancy makes you ungainly and uncomfortable, and it's painful at the end... but the hard part is what comes next. (Really, all she needed to do to get to this point was [1] have sex [2] avoid getting punched in the gut [3] eat right.)

So instead of congratulations: good luck, you'll need it. Smiley: grin

This.

Nine months of pain and discomfort, eighteen years of sleeplessness, worry, anxiety and heartache.

But for the moments of sheer bliss and joy...well, let's just say I'm glad I'm a man and didn't have to suffer most of the above.

congrats Nio!

I can't believe she hasn't posted. What, is she "spending time with the baby"? Or maybe "recovering"??

Some friend she is.

Congrats Nio!

thank you :) HE was delivered via cesarean and my recovery has been way easier this time. Im only taking motrin for the discomfort, I feel great. Tyler is a very mellow baby (unless he is hungry or his boy parts become chilly when being changed)

I have already experienced the difference in changing a boy vs a girl. He has peed on my leg and on himself. He has a full head of hair.

I can't post pictures till the hubby sees them all (since he is overseas) - I thought Suki had a lot of hair when she was born but he has a thick mane of black hair.

It is good that I never went into labor naturally, he had a knot in his cord - it wasn't tight thank God.

I've been catnapping off and on as much as possible - the hospital has free wifi and my mother in law has left me her macbook to use. She is currently attending Suki's parent/child movement class :) Its great having her here.

Hubby is of course freaking - he has since calmed down but certainly being thousands of miles away had made him panicy.. I should be getting discharged tomorrow :) yay

completly different. He is much much more mellow than Suki - I love it. I'm glad I had the wild little girl first. I wonder if he will stay mellow?

What Deb said.

Both my boys started off that way. Then they got to be a year old and all hell broke loose.

They got old enough to realize they have penises. Then they know who is really in charge.
