A crazy week, to say the very least. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. We have some yard work to do, but mostly we'll be watching The Wire on DVD and chillin' out.

Dinner tonight with friends from out of town, yardwork and then a birthday party for the little one tomorrow. Plan to sit on my butt and veg all day Sunday. Smiley: boozing

Down to Hollywood Studios on Saturday to visit my old college roommate; probably staying over for the night. Spending Friday with the family, since they just got back from a 2 month vacation to MA. Sunday is cleaning up the house and hanging with housemates. Seems like a pretty good weekend!

Working all weekend, as usual. And I'll be missing my son's football game. Smiley: frown

Need to fix my fence, the supporting post has finally given up the ghost. The flush on the downstairs WC is also borked, so I'll do that too.

Watch more of Prison Break and the odd bit of WoW.

Not doing much at all.

I'm swimming in berries that I have to get canned up. The veggie harvest is rolling in - I hope to find some fun and exciting way to serve up summer squash. Any suggestions?

I just picked up an '03' Chardonnay from a Canadian winery that I'm kind of excited to try out.

I gotta start prepping and planning for a string of house-guests that will be rolling through over the next two months.

Today is the final day for my moms visit before she flies back tomorrow afternoon. I'm sick as a dog and a walking drug store but still trying to keep the fun going for everyone.
Tonight Xavier, my mom and I are heading for a viewing of Harry Potter 5 on IMAX followed by the kids museum opening its doors for a late night romp like they did for Night at the Museum. Tomorrow we'll take my mom the the airport and then come home and chill for the rest of the weekend. I'll probably sit down and watch The Guild again. Im officially hooked. I've been relaying their new video quite a few times. It makes me chuckle

I went to see Ponyo earlier this week - Miyazaki's latest artistic delight. It's 'light' compared to the creepier undertones of some of his more recent stuff - more geared towards 'real' kids versus us grown-up wannabe-kids. Lots of fun for all.

I <3 The Guild too. Smiley: smile

Going to Massachusetts for the weekend, with an agenda of catching up on True Blood, going to a museum, and catching Ponyo with the rugrat. Mostly relaxing.

I wish I'd never seen the Wire, so I could discover it all over again...

Tonight I'm going to yoga, then cooking a meal for a couple of friends who are coming over.

Tomorrow football, and some WOW.

Sunday the girlfriend and I are going for a long walk from Hassocks to Leigh, weather permitting.

Fairly quiet week-end all in all, but I was in Spain last week-end, and I'm going to Greece next week-end, so I'm quite happy about that.

Well, I had plans to relax, but then my fridge stopped working so that becomes a priority. Giving it a quick look, I think that it's probably a dead fan, so hopefully I'll be able to fix it on my own, but the worst case is to buy a new fridge. Stupid rainy day fund keeps getting eaten. Smiley: glare

This is my last Sat to sleep in late for the 2-3 months as I will be coaching 3rd grade cheerleaders every Sat until Nov.

Goals for this weekend:

Cheer:
Finish "spirit book" for parents/little cheerleaders.
Use mixcraft to remix the half time song and add a vocal to the beginning announcing the girls.

Work:
Finish editing system emails, they are outdated.
Finish editing FR tutorial since SOE changed how you begin.

Home:
Caulking the baseboards in bathroom and kitchen after finding these: WARNING KAO DO NOT CLICK!!!
http://hphotos-snc1.fbcdn.net/hs165.snc1/6168_116587766540_535096540_2927194_4792682_n.jpg

If I feel adventurous, remove hostas I have discovered growing in flower bed (lawn guy usually just mows over them,) clean flower bed out and put hostas back in and let them grow.
And if I feel even more adventurous, replace the tank seal in hallway bathroom's toilet.

Others:
Backup data on Inspiron 6000 and trash the rest of the laptop.
Backup data on Inspiron 9100, format and reinstall XP.
Finish building a comp for my aunt because her Dimension 4100 is crap.
Call uncle and see if his HD swap into a new comp works because his Dell desktop MB died.
(anyone notice a trend here?)

Maybe I won't be getting any sleep.......

The first one, I thought was a brown recluse, but Sutures said it wasn't. Which was a good thing, I've been bitten by one previously. The second one is even bigger than the first, legs and all, size of an old fashioned silver dollar, and I killed TWO! Not really sure what either are. At least the pictures don't make me queasy any more since I've looked at them so many times.

This time last year, I think it was, I killed a black widow as it was nonchalantly crawling across the kitchen floor like it owned the place.

I HATE spiders ever since I was bitten. Tarantulas don't bother me, it's the ones that can make you sick or kill you that freak me out, and then of course the huge mutated ones on deserted islands. Smiley: wink

Aside from housework and yardwork, I finally broke down and honked on the crack pipe known as Facebook last week, so way too damn much of my time this weekend will probably be spent playing Mafia Wars and Pirates.

I refuse to get into any of those games on FB. I'd waste way too much damn time. My only weakness is for Bejeweled 2 (and status shuffle but thats not a game so it doesnt count!)

Last time I was talking about gaming I realized the only game I really care about anymore is either Restaurant City or Pet Society.

I spent this week in Maine, swimming and hanging out with the family in general. I swim in the ocean in Maine btw. I've swum in the ocean in Maine in September and in May. I don't mind the cold. I can't tell you how many times I've been to a beach and been the only one who'd swim in the cold water. Good thing b/c the water was still cold in August.

This week I'm visiting people and packing up my sh*t to move down to Philly on Sunday. I just said good bye to my mom about a half hour ago. I won't see her until either October or November and it makes me sad. Smiley: frown

I figure I'll burn out on them in a couple weeks, because while they are addictive to start with, they quickly get repetitive, and they're all clones of each other, more or less. About the only one I see as having any staying power is Knighthood and/or Syndicate.

I'm currently trying to end some drama between my middle daughter and one of her bridesmaids. Hopefully all will be ok before the rehearsal tonight. Meanwhile I finding I'm spending too much time on facebook and haven't visited my farms in days. I been able to hold off playing Mafia war and robin Hood so far. games that have to do with gardening is my weakness.

Waiting now for call back from oldest child about getting a ride tomorrow to the Hand-fasting. If they aren't able to give me a ride, then I have to get ride from the Bride and groom early and then hang out and maybe lend a hand getting last minute preparations done. I still need to make sure all my renn grab is clean and ready to where tomorrow, along with a change of clothes for party afterwards, as I don't expect that I'll last long in my corset.

Sunday I'll be recovering fro m the Hand-fasting and looking forward (not) to a week of doctor appointments and tests. I need to do liquid diet Wednesday for dreaded cleansing that evening for colonoscopy Thursday.

Got confirmation on ride to hand-fasting just now, so I need to get moving on costume and wash a few items I want to be able to wear tomorrow. Got to be my best, as Mother of the Bride. Thankfully I was not involve in the planning of this fantasy wedding.

Last time I met someone from Gardiner, he spent the next ten years biting my ankles when I went down the hall to go pee.

Nothing major planned here. It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so riding my bike and leering at the new batch of college girls will likely be involved.
