Because I'm bored.

Tomorrow night Mr. Tare and I are cooking an Indian feast. Samosas, chicken tikka masala, beef vindaloo and chana masala. Yum (I hope)!

Saturday is kiddie activity day and chillin' around the house. Sunday we plan to hit the art gallery and drink coffee downtown. Hopefully it won't be raining and we can walk around a bit. Just want a quiet weekend this weekend. No chores or obligations. :)

Friday = wurk Smiley: glare

Saturday = Team Building day with co-workers. (And I'm lucky enough to say they're a wonderful bunch of people)

Canoeing on the River Severn through bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful countryside for 4 miles, then pub-lunch in a 17th Century Inn, then another 5 miles down the river, then catch a restored 1920s Steam Train back to the start. Wahaaaay! Smiley: clap

Sunday - Cycling with me gurly to a nice Canal-side Inn for dead cow based lunch with much ale, then weaving back on a wobbly booze-fuelled bicycle

I iz liek being me.

I have to get up early Saturday to go to work. Power company is shutting off the power Friday night, so I have to make sure everything gets turned off properly, then everything can start back up correctly after they turn the power back on :(

Friday - Noon going to picnic lunch with Tanya and Takeo. 3PM Swimming with a friend and her two kids.
Saturday - Meeting with another lesbian mother and her son for a fountain walk and a park.

No other plans right now. This makes me sad.. It's an ok schedule but I think this weekend I would have rather gone out to enjoy myself.

Ooh can I come with you on Sunday, Tare? That sounds fun and relaxing. After getting back from my vacation I feel like my summer is officially over and I'm ready to tone it down a bit on the outdoor activities.

Renting a beach house in Michigan with about 10 friends. Getting a pony keg. Weather looks to be sunny, mid-80's.

I hate tourists, with a passion.

These idiots are driving over a bridge, and stop right in the middle, to stare out over the lake and "oooo" and "aaaa".

It's just ******* water damn it! I know these people from Chicago aren't used to seeing clean water and wooded areas, but I have to go to work, and these bastards driving 10MPH down the road and stopping at every single place where you can see water just **** me off.

Uh, I can safely say I've never done that. Plus, I plan on driving to the place as fast as reasonably possible, so as to get my drink on and my sand on.

As some of you have heard too many times, tomorrow is my last day of work. I'm gonna spend the weekend packing and then go up to Maine for a few days to see my family.

Nothing is relaxing with a 2 and 4 year old in tow. But yeah, sure. :)

just finished the "garage floor epoxy coat project of doom(tm)" so this weekend will be mostly devoted to geting the old appartment cleaned up so i get some of my deposit back, since it didn't burn down in the huge appartment fire that apperently occured last wekend while i was here in my house. the building that now has a huge skylight is literally 300 feet from my old appartment, which is now mostly empty.

Friday and saturday, cleaning. ugh.

Sunday will be TV shopping day I think. now that I finally have a place to put a big one!

Other than that, nothing particularily interesting.

My bulk cooking extravaganza that started earlier this week (I mentioned last week I was shopping in preparation for it, iirc) continues as long as the weather remains cool. So far I have four quarts of split pea soup and 8 quarts of spaghetti sauce frozen. I have a large pot (probably 6-8 quarts) of broccoli cheese soup waiting to be divided up and frozen. Tomorrow I make meat loaves, Saturday will be chicken corn chowder, Sunday will be another batch of spaghetti sauce, and Monday will finish out the madness with a large pot of chicken noodle soup (minus the noodles--they don't freeze well, so I add them as I heat up the frozen soup base.)

Next time we have a two week heat wave with record-breaking temperatures like we did a couple weeks ago, I'll have plenty of microwavable foods frozen and ready to go, so I won't have to turn on the oven or stovetop.

Today I shall be driving back to Wales as tomorrow my cousin is getting married. Probably order a Chinese tonight as there's a splendid little takeaway near my mothers village. Do a bit of shopping in the morning, then to the church for 2pm.

Sunday morning we'll drive home and relax around the house.

I think I'm gonna take off a couple hours early for work and spend the afternoon convincing my hubby to go downtown with me for an "Art Walk" tonight. Then drink wine and play War.

Tomorrow we're going to see The Wallflowers, it will a most-of-the-day event. Then I'll probably drink wine and play War (til the wine is gone).

Sunday, unless it's a spectacularly gorgeous day, I'm gonna turn some chokecherries into chokecherry jam.

No real plans! Head to Ocala at some point to clean up my parents' house, and greet two new housemates that are moving in tomorrow. Might go kayaking, that sounds like fun.
