They are terribly convenient when applying for positions in another state. Live interviews require taking an entire day off.

That's actually a bizarre thought for me, having grown up 20 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean by foot. What must it be like to have never seen the ocean?

I can tell you what it was like the first time I saw the ocean, age 21 or so.

It was a complete mind fUCk. It was overwhelming. I never wanted to leave.

gratz again on the weight loss, Tare, gratz again and enjoy the house Kao, Joph i expect you and Flea to drive over for drinks!!! (Flea tried to get me to drive up to VA but it's kind of hard to do that atm or I would have).

Couple of things this weekend:
We're still trying to figure out the right meds for Sorens reflux to no avail. IF the concoction we're trying now doesnt work by Sunday we try one more med then off to a GI specialist. Yay :/

Sat night I am off to a sex toy party, to support my friends virgin status as a toy educator. She was trained by my best friend back north and Im honored I get to be there for her first show. Plus I may shop for some fun things as I'm finally cleared to play bedroom games again and Im taking full advantage Smiley: sly

Sunday morning I have a meet up with the Secular "Heathen" moms I mentioned, and our families. Should be fun.

Otherwise we're going to get the house in order. My mom is flying down Friday morning for a week visit to meet her newest grandchild and play with the kids so the Mr and I can pass out and maybe sleep for longer than the normal 3 hour periods I've been getting. I can't wait! Smiley: grin

After school, my friends and I used to walk here and hang out until it got dark, or until it got too cold. Where I live now, the ocean's about 90 minutes away by car and I always have this vague feeling of being cut off from it.

I assume he's seen Lake Michigan, which is oceanic from the perspective of someone standing on a beach. Several foot high waves, water as far as you can see to the horizon (about 30 horizons across actually).

Exactly. We've gone away to vacation on Lake Michigan before so from a "majesty of an endless expanse of water" aspect, I don't know that it'll be new. But I'm sure the seashells, surf and water that doesn't make your balls ascend into your throat will be a welcome novelty.

I don't know if the Jophlet's old enough to appreciate history yet or not, but I highly recommend Colonial Williamsburg. It's about 20 minutes from VA beach. There's a lot of interesting stuff to see down in the tidewater.

I think we were thinking of Williamsburg. Not sure if we decided it as a definite or not.

Williamsburg is really a lot of fun. There are little demonstrations of colonial life, museums disguised at 18th century shops and stores, and actors roaming around portraying locals like Thomas Jefferson and Peyton Randolph.

Working all weekend and all of next week. My free time will be spent either hanging with the girlfriend, my friends, or playing EVE...while remaining perpetually stoned.

Yeah, me too. Although I didn't see a palm tree until I was probably 15.

I just got back from three weeks staying at my boyfriends parents house in sunny sunny Eastbourne, and am suffering a come down as I realise what an absolute ******** I live in. Nottingham itself isn't too bad, but I live in a really scummy area!

However, I just got my daughter back after she spent some holiday time at her dads, so I think we plan to visit lifes a beach and do a bit of splashing around, followed by catching up with my parents who have been missing their little darling (thats the sprog, not me!)

Smiley: lol I laugh at the beans part, only because when my time came near the Mr insisted on buying a case of Kcups. All I can say was Thank Bob he had the foresight for that Smiley: grin Sleep is hard to come by, but if Suki is still napping you should have a higher chance of resting once your newest LO comes.

Aside from major bad reflux issues that is not yet taken care of by a myriad of meds he is doing great. He's gained a crap load of weight despite his reflux (was literally a nonstop nurser until about a week ago and now nurses every 90 minutes to 2 hours). He's finally really smiling these huge toothless grins that melt your heart. Cooing, especially when I read him Anthony Piers books. And he gets really excited (much to my dismayed amusement) whenever I try to sing him to sleep with the song The River Lullaby. All in all, he's a lot of fun

Nexa,

Sorry to hear about your crappy phone interview. I just had an in-person interview on Wednesday. My recruiter mentioned that I may not have quite the right experience for the job but I had a good chat with the interviewer so it may be all right.

hmm maybe I should get Kcups... hubby thought he was being sweet by getting me some delicious smelling beans. Suki still naps but she is my little night owl.

Your little guy sounds adorable. new pictures?? Poor little guy at least he is gaining weight. DO you get any rest with him nursing that often?
