So what's your guys favorite Beatles song? You can include the solo work if you want. I find that I generally enjoy the later, more serious work more than I enjoy the earlier pop material, but I Saw Her Standing there is possibly my favorite song by them oddly enough. Favorite record of theirs would have to be the White Album.

Do you know what an IP address is? As a site admin there are a few nifty things you can do with them. Mine is dynamic, but at least you'd be making me unplug my modem.

Actually, we have pretty nifty tools too. Feel free to keep cycling that modem.

Personally, I prefer Let It Be, Sgt. Pepper's, and Abbey Road to the other albums.

Abbey roads is one of my favorites as well, might be because I've been there on my London trip.

I love the Beatles, but I want to point out some inconsistency in teh song Day Tripper, which has been grating me since I first heard it at 15 or so.

"She was a day tripper,
One way ticket, yeah,
It took me soooooooo long,
To find out,
But I found out..."

That's all fine and dandy, but how long could it really have taken him to find out she was doing one-night stands? One night? The next day? Maybe a week, at most, if she's not returning his calls and he keeps on trying for a whole week. But that's more his fault than hers, really. Take a hint, bro.

I think the song should go:

"She was a day tripper,
One way ticket, yeah,
It took me not very long at all,
To find out,
But I found out..."

My favorite Beatles song has always been Help! It reminds me of someone that I knew in college, that really was kind of a sad guy, doing drugs and drinking to the point that he failed out of school. People knew where to get their drugs or where to hang out and party but he was pretty unhappy in the midst of it, it seemed. I think he was really depressed and I remember he'd get up and I'd hear that song and I'd be like Smiley: frown. I still think of it as poignant in the same way it seemed at the time.

Never could get into the beetles. I wouldn't go out of my way to turn them off, but I can't say I'm desperate to own them.

You'd have to learn how to spell their name first anyway...

Actually, it's not, it's a guesstimate.

Good thing I don't listen to them! I'd look all heretical or something.

I've always liked the Sgt. Peppers album best. Favorite Beatles songs would be Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in the Life, Get Back, and John Lennon's Imagine.
