Vasectomy - done. Hot sex w/ no chance of unexpected pregnancy? Ya...that is a little ways off.
I have had a lot of dental work done. One of my incisors was chipped cleanly in half during a bicycling accident. It has been about a day since the procedure and this was less painful then, say, getting a filling. You walk in, walk out, stay off your feet as much as possible for a couple days. No heavy lifting/sex for a week. Of course, it is theoretically 3 months or 15-20 ejaculations before you're seaman is sperm free. Now my dear wife is indicating we can get the latter done in an embarrassingly short amount of time. All I can say is I'm looking under the microscope if they let me. I want to be sure.

Ray got it done a few years ago. It was nice to get off the Pill after being on it for over a decade. You'll always have it in the back of your mind that your vas deferens grows back together and you're all spermy again. But yup, nice to have some hot lovin' without worrying about pregnancy.

My wife wanted me to get a vasectomy before we got married. Then she wanted to have a baby. Then, after Thom, she wanted me to have a vasectomy. Now she wants to make a sibling for Thom.

Umm yeah. About that. Mr had his snip done in December. Being the lazy *** that he can be it took him until last week to get checked (7 months). He got a phone call back and was still positive. So now he has to go back in 10 days and has to have 2 negatives before he's considered done. I got my tubes tied. It's not that I don't trust a vasectomy, it's that I don't know if I'll be with my husband forever (no, there's nothing wrong, but he could be hit by a bus tomorrow) and I want to make sure I *never* have another kid. With anyone.
