Huh... News people really need a mute button they can press. Her voice scares me anyway.

This almost ranks up there with Shirley Phelps.

I quoted his/her name... and he/she is a user on this forum. Be nice :)

Do you have a problem with arrogance? A distaste for people who place themselves above others of lesser intelligence?

Statement of fact is a statement of fact. I agree with Samira. What Samira did not say is that the herd is also fattening both phyically and mentally. Its easy to outwit and outrun them these days Smiley: nod

Does conservative mean something different in Europe than it does in the states?

When the majority of people agree with you, then you are right! When the majority of people disagree with you, then they are nothing but stupid, ignorant masses!

In truth, I have been guilty of that a few times!

And yes, I am likely below the herd myself :)

"Birthers" is a disturbing name. I giggled childishly at her name sounding similar to orally, though.

Most suspiciously I haven't seen a single image of the woman shopped onto an owl.

There's a difference between stupidity and ignorance. Ignorance is acceptable. The wisest man on earth is still ignorant to a degree, and everyone is ignorant until they have been taught. Stupidity is quite different. Stupidity is willful ignorance, held high and displayed to all the world, as if your lack of knowledge was some kind of goddamn badge of honour.

Ignorant people can be taught and educated to make them less ignorant: mocking them will only slow this process and reveal insecurities on the part of the mocker, as they feel they must disguise their own undeniable ignorance by emphasizing the greater ignorance of others. Stupid people cannot be educated, and attempting to do so results in a headache and a deep sense that humanity is doomed. Mock at will.

I just don't think it is as simple as that. No I cannot be bothered to explain, nor mock, woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep. Caught the cat bringing a bird in though, which was good, saves me having to clean guts and feathers up off the kitchen floor.

It's cool. No matter how stupid/ignorant I may be, I'd like to point out something.

Correct me if I am wrong but they sounded a siren and the herd just walked in to the slaughter?

Of course, I'm thinking of the original film. You may be right about the newer one from 2002 with Guy Pearce looking gaunt and Jeremy Irons looking more than silly as a super morlock.

The fact that you even said that has made me hate you.

Actually, I was thinking about the novel.

I admit to not reading that. As you now hate me, I'm going to go cry in a corner somewhere and complain to my mummy about the bad and mean Jophiel ... Smiley: cry Smiley: cry

You know, Joph, I made a reference to <i>A Clockwork Orange<i> the other day, and this philistine assumed I was referring to the film.
