Varrus reminds me of the high council or whatever from the original "Planet of the Apes." Which I'm pretty sure were supposed to be fairly blatant parodies of overzealous right-wing politicians anyway, so there you go.

Let's play Scrabble. That was my family game. Mom the English Teacher knew lots of roots and expansions of words. Dad the Crossword Puzzler knew all the really tiny words. And my sisters each brought a different way of thinking to the board, and different, rich vocabularies.
