I used to like the scifi channel....but anymore they just have the worst movies on, all the time.

How to make a Scifi channel movie.

1. Make up a town in the middle of no where
2. Add a stereotype family
3. Add scientist who are surprisingly young
4. Add x, where x is some random species of either animal, insect, bird, fish whatever. The smaller in physical size x is, the more there are of them. Doesn't matter wtf it is, cause its going to start killing people.
5. Add mildly drama filled scenes, that are suppose to be scary but are infact very lame.
6. Solve the problem in some lame *** way.

There is your scyfi channel movie.

If you pour a few tons of desert sand on your lawn all the plant life will die, and given a bit of time the dirt under the sand will dry out and become desert itself. That's a big part of how deserts spread. This wall is to prevent that from happening.

Not that I think it'll work.

Well, the sand/dust storms blowing off the Sahara affect weather patterns around the world so there's reason to care from a "Ain't my problem" perspective even if no one does.

Funny you should mention this problem, Kao. The top right-wing minds in America are discussing this a great deal. I have heard a number of proposals to turn the desert into glass by peppering it with nuclear missiles. Seems rather impractical to me, but it has a lot of support in the southern states.

But then instead of using all of the hardened sand to build sh*t, they'd have to make them out of glass, and people who live in glass houses can't change clothes.

Don't forget, you can't throw stones anymore. Or shouldn't.
