But Friday is here, and so it the thread.

Busy day today and I'll be draggin' *** after the sleepless night I had last night. CRAZY thunderstorm here overnight. I actually felt a little scared. Mia and I hugged it out in bed until it went on its way. Took me forever to fall back to sleep and sleeping with a 4-year old basically equals nosleepforchoo!

Anyway, many an errand to run today, busy work weekend and it's going to be super hot here so that'll compound the laboUr. Ugh.

I hope somebody has fun plans for the weekend.

I'm going to Synagogue tonight. First time in 15 years. Excitement.

Beach this weekend.

Um.....I have to do some work over the weekend. Hang out. Nothing much. If it's nice, maybe I'll go swimming.

A few weeks ago, I cut a bunch of flowers from my garden and my neighbors (with permission) and I built a flower press... that is to say, I stacked some books. Today, I'm going to unearth the flowers, take them in to work, and spend the evening taking pictures and scanning them at ridiculously high resolutions for use as photoshop textures.

I seem to work every weekend, but this weekend I have Sunday off. No plans, since the husband will still have to work but I'll be free! Even if it just means vegging out here.

I'll finally finish signing up for classes- this weekend and submitting my graduation application. I'll hit the Gym a bit on Saturday. Sunday brings a chance to play my new D&D 4e character, a hybrid wizard|swordmage. I've gotten back into watching anime and will probably finish off Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae while tearing into a sizable chunk of Hajime no Ippo. Hopefully I'll find time to do some more reasearch into my post graduation options, as I'm really uncertain whether to go for a masters or snag an easy and in-demand second major. And lastly I need to pick out a going away present for an acquaintance heading off to college, something gushing with impractical sentiment.

One of my best friends is visiting from Greece this week-end, so it should be a lot of fun. Tonight we're going to this Russian restaurant to eat, erm, vodka, I guess. Tomorrow, a big group of us is going to Hyde Park for a pic-nic, weather permitting. And Sunday, dunno yet.

[] (I'm practicing)

I had set aside this weekend for blueberry picking, but the complete lack of sunlight has delayed their ripening...and it's raining, it's pouring.

So, I'm scheming with my daughter right now to meet her tomorrow somewhere halfway between her and me (a 500mile spread) to see the Harry Potter movie, and I'll probably have to buy her a meal.

No real plans for tonight or Sunday.

Hanging out with a friend tonight and tomorrow, not sure other than that. Going to be taking care of my parents' house for those days, but trying to get back up to the University so I can work out by Saturday night. If I take too much time off from working out I feel like a slacker.

I'm going to do a bunch of housework, but my main focus is going to be studying, as I have an exam on monday.

Saturday lots of yardwork. Lot's of yard to mow and wood to split. Afterwards take a dip in either the quarry or pool/hot tub. I'd also like to finish the last 150pages of "October Horse". Then probably start on Don Quixote again.

My lawn is frightfully unmowed which is something that will need to be taken care of. And we're going out for dinner on Saturday night for Flea's birthday. Beyond that, I think it's housework and chillin'.

If you're into Ancient Rome, I heartily recommend "Memoirs of Hadrian", by Margerite Yourcenar. It's absolutely incredible, and very different from the usual books on the subject. It's a ridiculously famous classic in France, but I don't think it's quite as well-known in the US. It's as close to a masterpiece as you're gonna find on the subject, though.

paperwork resulting in a key may be signed, or it may be delayed again. Or the opject that said key fits into may flood/explode/spontaniously cease existing between now and then. but yeah, i might actually get in this one.

Two younger ones have left for a weekend trip to Yosemite with my parents. Oldest one is leaving for a week in Vegas beginning Sunday and is out of the house pretty much all day on Saturday. So hubby and I are exploring each other's orifices all weekend long.

Oh, gods, watch for bunny rabbits.

Happy birthday to Flea! I miss her.

Not much going on here, possible dinner with friends unconfirmed, lots of housework to do, and just got my computer back from the shop so lots of stuff to reload and reconfigure.

I'm getting the good, gas-powered chainsaw working so I have my hands full. My mom's garage roof is totally busted and my friends are helping to replace it next weekend, so I have to cut down all the trees around the garage. Branches falling on it are probably a large part of the problem anyways.

Other than the garage, there are still a good deal of trees around the yard and the house, as well as down the driveway and by the pond that need to be cut down, and a backlog of trees stacked in the yard that need to be cut up.

Spend time with Sukimonkey (as if I need an excuse!), possibly go swimming with my friend Oli and her 4 munchkins, take Suki to her parent/child movement class, try to get even more ahead in National Gov class.

Thumb, that sounds fun! ;)

Happy Birthday Flea!

Elinda - details of the movie please!

That was one insane thunder storm Smiley: eek. I was also a little worried. I dont think I heard such loud thunder before, even when it was miles away. By the time it hit our house our walls shook a few times. I spent a good portion of the night up with Ashe and waited it out, then finally got him calmed down. Checked weather.com only to see another big wave of dark red heading our way so tag teamed the hubby to take over when it started up again. Seriously crazy storm though.

It's been a roller coaster ride here this week. The littlest of our bunch has been dealing with major pains and vomiting issues. I had to go in for an ultra sound yesterday for him to rule out pyloric stenosis, an obstruction in the stomach. Fortunately it was negative so we're starting medication for Reflux and Im on the fun fun detox diet of no dairy for awhile to rule out milk allergies. Wheee!

So this weekend I think we're all going to try and chill out. I'll take the boys to the pool as it's going to be hot and humid here. Otherwise Im hoping to tag team with the Mr. with napping and keeping the boys happy. I'm also hoping to take Xavier to the IMAX for HP.

What is a "parent-child movement class"? I don't need lessons to move with my child; we move more than enough as it is!

Beer, pizza,, err, hitting the gym, and going to see The Hurt Locker tonight.
Picking up a card & presents for my brother tomorrow, then heading up to NH to celebrate his b-day with the family, stopping on the way up at a high school friend's outdoor BBQ party in the 'burbs for some free food. Seeing a local theater production of The Sound of Music with the family on Saturday night, then hopefully some kayaking and waterskiing on Sunday if the weather's good. Somewhere in there I gotta cajole my family into helping us put together our wedding invitations, since I discovered this week that I really, really suck at tying ribbons.
