ROME — Pope Benedict XVI fractured his right wrist in a fall Friday morning while on vacation in northern Italy, the Vatican said. He was released from the hospital later in the day after undergoing successful surgery.

I thought Vatican II proved Papal Fallibility and then there is Smasharoo's issues with other people, all likely products of rejected Catholic guilt. And the fun of being an altarboy in Boston.

I heard it was a sucky role, and a pain in the rectory.

He's on infallible in matters of faith.

Anyway, that's what my recently converted son tells me.

One of the reasons I left the Church was because of the myth of papal infallibility. I mean, I don't believe the Bible is literal truth because it was written by men. I sure as hell ain't gonna believe that a man alive today also speaks literal truth.

Plus that whole evolution thing and abortion thing, etc. But I really could not wrap my mind around having to obey one dude in Rome all the time.

When I was a teenager there were some really cute girls in the bible study classes...that was pretty much the extent of my affiliation to the (United Methodist) church.

As of yet, he is infallible in matters of faith only.

Once they finish construction the Golden Throne, his mortal body shall become immortal.

Actually I was referring to the Emily Litella reference. Thanks for proving my point.

Only a staggering fool would think that infallible was the age-related reference in that post.

Mhmm.
