Yesterday as I was stepping up the curb to get to the Mental health Clinic for a therapy appointment, I tripped and fell down hard on my right arm, breaking my arm.

Seems I fractured my radius - closed in my right arm and now in a splint until I can get in to see a Orthopedist.

It's the first time I've broken a bone though I had worst falls as a kid. Like the time I fell off a 12 foot wall when I was 5 and when I fell off the top bunk and hit the pot belly stove, at Girl Scout camp. But I was younger and bones not as brindle. Back then, I just got a black eye and sprained my ankle at 5 and got whip lash at G.S. camp and total whip lash of my spine when I slip and fell on 5 steps at college, leading to minor problems with the vision in my right eye and a bad back.

Now I'm thinking of taking another Tylenol 3 and drifting off to sleep. I need to make phone calls and get an appointment with the Orthopedic Clinic and reschedule my eye exam that I had to cancel yesterday, as well as my psych doctor appointment tomorrow.

Doing everything left handed is taxing for a righty like me. My hand writing looks lie a 3th grader only due to the fact that I been able to mirror wrie with mt left hand for years. I'm finding even typing I want to rite backwards and have to make constant corrections.

Off to make calls and sleep off my pain pills. I'll try to check in on you all when I'm not nodding off.

Hope your pain goes away soon Elneclare - My mum had to wear a splint for a long time after getting really bad RSI, and it was a pain for her trying to do everything the wrong way round .

She is doing a bit better. I have been helping her release endorphins thru ******.
I can do some things for her but as long as she is capable of left hand use I do refuse to wipe.
That was the hardest part for me 15 years ago when I had Carpal tunnel sugery in both hands. Before they developed micro surgery techniques.

On the other hand 9 hours at a hospital, even if it is Johns Hopkins, runed my day off as well.

Aww.. Sorry you broke your arm. I've always been a clutz throughout my 23 years and have managed 2 broken arms, broken leg and busted out about 4 teeth :/ I hope you can get better within the month.
