Wait, have I said this before? It feels eerily familiar.

You know, I always wondered about the smurfs. I mean, they have one woman in the collective. I figure they probably don't share gbaji's views on SSM.

The Smurfs is an allegory-propoganda for Communism. Think about it. Think about it.

The red-hat, bearded papa-smurf? Marx. The Collective houses? Communism. The evil Gargamel who wants the Smurf's gold? The US. His cat, Azrael? Israel. Something else? No, I think that's it.

So yeah, I guess they don't share much with gbaji at all. Except for the smurf with the glasses, he's quite gbajiesque.

When I read this I actually heard a middle eastern guy in my head. Like the guy at the quickie mart on the Simpsons.

Maybe they should put those people into weapons R&D rather than blowing them up.

Yes, I did mean Middle eastern and it was a bad example of the Simpsons. It was a Middle Eastern accent in my head and I do realize (after reading this post I’m a ******) that the guy on the Simpsons is Indian. My bad.

Saying life is considered 'cheap' in some parts of the world is akin to saying that people in those parts of the world don't have the same human emotions and feelings and personal attachments to the people around them, as us civilised folk. That is a racist perception.

Thanx for the lesson in the demographic history of the Indian sub-continent. I'll be sure to pass it on to the 100 or so members of my family who live in that part of the world.

ps. you'd prolly like me if you ever met me, but having said that, this is an intrawebz forum that I lurk around and as such, you perhaps should let me play the game the way I choose. If you don't like it, then skip my posts. Easy.

If you've got that many relatives there, you should be aware that a large portion of the Muslims in Pakistan used to live in what is now India. It's not technically correct to refer to Pakistan as the Middle East, but its proximity to Afghanistan and its large Muslim population means people often conflate them, which is why I said the regional distinction gets blurred. It's not actually Middle Eastern, but it's next door. It's like people thinking Russians are Eastern European when they could just as easily be called North Asian or Eurasian.

Anyway, I try to avoid snap-judging people who look Indian as actual Indians because they're sometimes Pakistanis and might take offense.
