How is a president supposed to stop a specific spree of violence that happened in six hours, enter the damn matrix or something?

Well, Chicago already has a mayor, aldermen/city council, a county board, state representatives and a governor over it but Varus wants Obama to fix it. Obviously, Varus is in favor of diminished state control and an expanded role for the federal government over the states.

You people were screaming for blood because W didn't act quickly enough over katrina.
Are you trying to score points on my Democratic self by implying that I'm for a strong federal government?

Oh! The barbs! How they sting & wound!

Send the National Guard in to stop a few gangs stabbing and beating each other up?

I know you're a gun toting loon, but Jesus! This is a law enforcement issue, no more.

Seven gang shootings is the line in the sand before we declare martial law, Samira. Chicago's gone over the bounds.

Eight deaths in Chicago equals one death per 356,640 people (in the city proper).

There was a shooting in Knoxville over the weekend resulting in a death meaning that we saw one death per 183,546 people in Knoxville proper over the weekend.

The per capita shooting death rate in Knoxville last weekend was TWICE that of Chicago! Why won't Obama send the National Guard to secure Knoxville???

Would you trust the mayor, alderman or any other elected official in the city of Chicago to do anything that doesn't involve the greasing of palms or the backing of kicks?

Right. Nor would I.

And it doesn't stop when they get out of Chicago, either...
