Yeah, even I knew that, and I'm not a huge anime nerd.

I did used to have an awesome Ryo-ohki plushie. I miss that thing.

Tenchi Muyo confused me, so I only watched a few episodes when it came on Toonami, in the days of yore.

There are two possibilities for why Palin resigned. Someone has something on her or she's going to change residences and run for the senate next year preparing her for a presidential bid in 2008. By then the market should be around 5k and the jobless rate will be over 12% nationally. I'm leaning towards the second of these because the media is still viciously attacking her and I seriously doubt if anyone had anything on her they would not have released it by now.

No, there's a few reason she resigned. Namely, she got /butthurt over these:

This statement right here shows how blatantly uneducated your stance on Evolutionary Theory is.

Do you think palin should try to run in 2012 in some form? I can see her use as a speaker to rally the base, but from my perspective it would be a big mistake for the GOP to put her in a leadership role. She polarizes people withing the GOP, and that doesn't seem like a good thing to me. I'd think you would have a great deal of trouble pulling in the moderates with someone who is as absolute as palin.

Yeah McCain was an even worse candidate than Dole. Then again without McCain we'd have never known about Palin. And she's drawing 20k crowds whereas Biden has to empty chairs from his speaking engagments to make the whole 100 people there look like somethings going on.

I mention that Palin is intellectually incurious and Varus starts talking about how awesome Bush handled the economy. I mention that the economy tanked under Bush and Varus starts talking about how many empty chairs Biden has at a meeting.

Varus needs to lay off the caffine. And the meth. And start taking his ADD meds.

Could you imagine that. People actually being taxed on what they purchase spend instead of what they earn.

As long as you don't tax food and medicine, and maybe have higher rates for "luxury" items, I'm all for this.

Oh, well this makes all the difference. She says she's not a quitter, so there! She must not have quit. She just... um. Shifted.

And this snippet makes no fUCking sense whatsoever, sorry:

Palin's equally delusional mouthpiece wrote:
"When people don't accept normal bounds of decency making jokes like that about children, maybe this is not good for the state right now," Van Flein said. "And maybe somebody else who is not the subject, and whose family is not the subject of this scrutiny, can move the state forward."

So, see, the bloggers and Letterman were making it difficult for Alaska to function.

Jophed,

I enjoy comparing Palin's minor infractions to Obama's blatant cronyism and disregard for law; even the ones he co-sponsors.

But we have to watch out for those governors who get troopers fired for tazing children, they're obviously the real threat.
The difference here being that the administration is cooperating and sending documentation supporting the firing to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee rather than Obama throwing a hissy fit and running away from his job.

Another difference being that no one here is saying "Oh no! So unfair!!! Such a burden and attack!!!" that the administration might be asked to send stuff to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
