No, they were legitimate because she was found guilty by an ethics panel. Which doesn't mean the rest weren't legitimate but they weren't found to have standing. You know, "not guilty" versus "innocent".

What pass? I said I'm cool with the Senate inquiries. Go for it.

My personal opinion is that any credible claim of malfeasance should be investigated. /shrug

Under govn healthcare you won't be given this option. You will have to go to the doctor the state tells you to or they refuse coverage.

You're confusing the existing health insurance industry with your imagined government health care.

Right now, I have insurance. I have pretty good insurance. But my insurance company was 1. decided by my employer, not me 2. Doesn't like one of the hospitals in town, so I can't use any doctors or clinics affiliated with that hospital.

I've already had my choices cut down to half because my insurance company eliminated them before I had any say in it. If I want to go to the other hospital (which wins all sorts of awards and has certified heart centers and is, based on that, arguably a better hospital, if a more expensive one) I have to pay for all the costs out of pocket.

My primary physician? He was picked from a list my insurance company gave me. My dentist? Same deal. OB/GYN? Oh wait, all the good ones in town are affiliated with the hospital my insurance doesn't do business with, so I'm stuck with ******* jerks that demand I have children so they can charge me more(looking at you Dr. Desai), or as I've opted for over the last few years, at the county health department instead. (The county health department here is small, but the staff is some of the nicest people in the healthcare industry, and they do the best they can with their limited funding.)

Many companies offer a co-pay system which gives you the choice of picking your own carrier. And I may be wrong but didn't you pick you employer?
(1) My *** they do.

(2) If you're having to pick your employer specifically on the grounds of health insurance, you're an idiot and don't deserve health insurance.

Lot's of people consider jobs based on perks like whether or not they offer health insurance. You're a fool if you think otherwise.
Nice job of responding to-- wait, that's entirely irrelevant.

The question is not "does it offer health insurance". It is "does the health insurance allow me to choose the doctor freely". In what is probably not obvious to you, a lack of health insurance does allow you to do so (but it's ******* expensive because everything comes out of pocket).

Given the choice between a $50k/year job with no insurance and a $40k/year job with insurance that locks me into a list of doctors that omits a substantial number of doctors in the area, I'd take the one without insurance. (If they pay the same, I'd have to look into the doctors specifically first, but I'd still lean towards the one without insurance.)

CNN) — Sarah Palin wanted to take the money and "just run with it," the father of her grandchild said Thursday.

Levi Johnston told reporters the Alaska governor was stepping down early to take advantage of millions in potential earnings. According to the Anchorage Daily News, the 19-year-old said that late last year he heard Palin say "how nice it would be to take some of this money people have been offering us and just run with it, and saying forget everything else."

He pointed to talk show offers and other potentially lucrative deals.

Earlier this week, Palin attorney Thomas Van Flein told the Washington Post that the governor had received "hundreds of credible offers since the campaign," including Hollywood projects, but had not taken advantage of any except her book deal. Johnston said that even the Palin children had been fielding offers.

Johnston said he saw how stressful Palin's job was for her – "how she came home late at night and things like that" – but said he thought " the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars."

Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton dismissed Johnston's take, referencing his own show business aspirations. "It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills," Stapleton told reporters.
