I will be celebrating the anniversary of palming off our brave nation's belligerent, smelly cousin.

Congrats on Anniversary Tare and sale of your house, Nexa.

My body is still not quite recovered from IBS Attack from Hell, though I'm no longer wearing depends. So while Jonwin works my weekend will consist of staying hydrated, running every once and awhile to the bathroom and doing laundry. Most taxing thing will be taking the clean sheets out of the dryer and making the bed.

Since middle child has no car at the moment, there is very little chance that I may go to any parties or public displays of fireworks. If Jonwin is lucky I'll light up the grill and do some cooking before he gets home Saturday. Might even invite some family to come over and have potluck.

Middle child does live within walking distance to us and they still have plenty of work to do on my bathroom. I would like to have a working toilet upstairs, as well as shower and sink. Whirlpool tub does wonders on muscles though.

Neighbors are sure to set off plenty of illegal fireworks, when it isn't raining.

Today (the third) is my wedding anniversary. Saturday is parade and pigroast. Sometime in the next few days family will start showing up - my sister and my brother's step-daughter, my wife's sister and family, my other sister, etc.

Than *I*, heathen. I'm discounting the chance of your post being intentionally ironic because I'm a douche.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

This weekend I'll be doing a whole pile of nothing. Friends are all busy with work, girlfriend is being angry over something really dumb, which I'll deal with after the weekend, and I have no money.

Gaming it is I suppose.

Uh, that would be (choose one) September 3rd, October 9th, or December 11th.

Oh, wait, you don't mean Australia.

Have a lovely weekend all of you rebellious Yankees Smiley: smile

Over the pond in the cradle of civilisation I'll be enjoying a long weekend with my boyfriend as we enjoy the ongoing heatwave with ice cream and long walks.

You live in Mesopotamia?

Well, that explains a few things.

This weekend will be filled with errands and final settling into the new home. Need to go out and buy a bookcase and a curio cabinet for my wife’s porcelain dolls, a run to Lowes to exchange some items, and got to mess with the hot tub to get the levels right. We decided to drain and clean it so we know it doesn’t have any funk in it. Wife just got a new laptop so i need to transfer her stuff from her old one. Might have a beer in there somewhere and might have the in-laws over for dinner on Sunday night. I think there is a fireworks show at the school so we might go see that. The Stepdaughter is at her dads this weekend and Connor is to young to appreciate any fireworks so we might just stay in. Havent really decided yet.

It didn't rain! Finally, a nice day, fitting for the Fourth. We went to the parade in town and then to a cookout, a regular event for my family. It used to be a whole pig roast and my dad was the head chef for the event, but these days it's smaller steaks and pork roasts with an elderly crowd. Nevertheless we had a great time, Thom had some good food and made the rounds and we even got a bit of sunburn.

Hope everyone else had as good a holiday as we did.
