Silly people. Insects don't count as animals unless you are Buddhist. They don't even have a developed enough nervous system to detect pain; if you pull a leg off an ant, it won't even notice anything other than that it has trouble walking now.

So go on, kill all the bugs you want! (Except ladybugs, which are beneficial, and butterflies, which are pretty.)
Do fish count - like minnows.

How about slugs? I been having a good time 'flicking' slugs off my herbs (to no avail - they've decimated my dill and basil). I aim the flick to splat them against the nearest tree....and its still raining. 'sigh' I feel like I live in the rain forest.

I don't know what they teach in the schools up there but flicking slugs into trees has no significant effect upon the weather.

tsk tsk. Trees consume moisture. When you flick a slug at a tree, you're essentially giving it extra moisture. This means that there will be less water drawn from the ground, and will likely lead to more evaporation. This will then lead to more rain. So Elinda is actually ensuring that it will continue to rain. Smiley: nodSmiley: schooled

Well I let my great dane sh*t in her yard as revenge for her dogs sh*tting in mine. Of course my great danes sh*t is bigger than her dogs. Plus she's upset that she sold me a really nice shed for only 500$ when it's easily worth 3k. It really pisses her off to see me working in there now. Sad thing is she's such a pretty girl but hasn't had a boyfriend since she moved in 4yrs ago. Personally I think she just needs a good humping.

Whoops. I guess I shouldn't be crushing ants and swatting mosquitoes any more. They do keep the spiders fed anyways.

Nah, I went to school in the midwest, in the 70's. I learned to smoke cigs, roll a joint, and rebuild a carburetor - oh and balance a checkbook. My senior project was a giant embroidered 'peace' wall hanging (seriously).

Flicking slugs at trees - it may not stop the rain but it makes you feel better about standing there getting wet.

Letting your great dane **** in her yard is your way of 'making a move'?

The next move is for the Dane to hump her leg and then Varrus to go over and say "Hey, that looks like fun!"

You mention Buddhists and not Jains?

It really depends on both the denomination as well as if they are a monk, nun, or layperson.
