Kids were up between 5:30 and 6:30. Gave up trying to squeeze any sleep out by 6:45. Couple this with the "critter noises" I could hear in my bedroom last night and it makes for a craptastic night of sleep.

Got up to feed the cats this morning only to find that they ate a lizard in the night, leaving the tail and two legs behind. Good times.

Weather is going to be in the high 90s all weekend (100s today) and that just makes me grumpy. Father's day weekend so I plan to give the Mr. the whole weekend off, unless DSD goes into labour, in which case we'll have her two boys joining the party. :)

On the bright side, you didn't find a large, well-fed lizard and the rear portions of your two cats.

The lizard wouldn't have left anything.

At least they were generous and wanted to share part of the lizzard with you Smiley: grin
It's going to be hot as hell this weekend, and since I self banned myself from the pool just in case, we're going to stick in the house with the AC roaring. No real plans except to keep prodding the lil guy in hopes of him arriving. Fathers Day gifts are bought, wrapped and the kids made Mr. DSD cards. If baby doesnt arrive prior I'm going to tie him up in bed so he sleeps in Smiley: sly

Quiet weekend all around, unless baby decides to come and then all chaos shall break loose! That reminds me, I still need to get my tequila for my post birth margarita celebratory drink.....

To paraphrase (because I can't remember it verbatim off the top of my head) an article I read about 15 years ago titled "The Cat and the Computer" (filled with advice for felines struggling with their person's computer fixation):

While dropping a dead mouse on your person's keyboard will certainly get her attention, most will misinterpret the gesture as a token of affection, when what you are actually doing is telling her to stop messing with that stupid machine and go out and hunt before she and her young starve.

Could they be sending you a message?

Work, work, work all day today and tonight. Try to catch new episodes of Burn Notice and Royal Pains.

Saturday: Grocery shopping, some light housekeeping and yardwork then spend some family time at Balboa Park.

Sunday: Celebrate Father's Day with my dad and Ray.

It's raining cats and dogs here - supposed to continue most of the weekend. Soooo, I think I'm gonna indulge in gaming this weekend. Might download and check out Aion Online...or just play Warhammer.

Sunday neither of my kids will be around for father's day, so I guess it's up to me to honor the family patriarch. I think it shall be breakfast in bed and then other stuff - in bed. Smiley: grin

Studying for a history test that I missed due to having to miss the first 1.5weeks (really 3 of a normal) of semester due to having 20$ less than mandatory fees required by the cutoff point, due to financial aid getting stuck in a pipe due to some other **** that goes back to spring.

eh

Also had a crappy start to the day: On my morning commute I noticed a large plume of smoke coming from downtown, which turned out to be the historic Georgia Theatre burning down. Many a drunken happy musical night was spent there, but it was also where we partied for Obama's victory last fall. And now it is a hulking, sodden mass of ash and misery.

Hope they had fire insurance. They can build it better! Faster! Stronger! With a less sticky floor!

11 performances were scheduled for AthFest next weekend; I think they are gonna have to play in the parking lot now.

Today: Show new neighbor around downtown, assuming the power is back on (they turned it off to prevent more fires while they put out the fire)

Tomorrow: Dynamis, and possibly joining the protests outside CNN

Sunday: Nephew's 7th birthday and father's day. Rather than BBQ in the heat, his father wisely asked him what kind of burgers he wanted, and he said Wendy's. So Wendy's burgers it is :x

At the pool today, a lizard ran by my chair. Your cats still have some work to do.

I'm currently waiting to hear from daughter on how grandson is doing. He woke up at 5 this morning with bad headache, vomiting and complaining of light bothering him, so younger daughter with car, is taking them to their doctor's office.

Our family has history of migraines and the one that my soak in whirlpool tub had chased away this morning is now back.

Tomorrow, Jonwin and I go to bank to straiten out mess the bank made of my account. This time I can honestly say I wasn't the one who made the mistake and make them return the fee's.

Then it get some more money to pay for materials for remodeling the bathroom. Part of shower surround is in and it's finally feeling like we may see project finish soon.

Rest of weekend plans are to start packing for retreat we are going to in a week. and reading when head isn't hurting too much.
