Do you know where it is?

Well, I nearly fell off my chair in laughter looking at this article.

I think it was the pancreas location that really sent me over the edge, Pancreas throat anyone? Smiley: laugh Or maybe it was the heart at the at the top of the rear. Reproductive Kidneys rock Smiley: nod

I'm old fashioned, I grew up being taught Biology as a seperate science, we spent a little time on basic organ location but really ... I'm still laughing Smiley: laugh

I don't get it. How can you not know where your heart is? You can feel the thing pumping away. I mean, I know people normally think it's too far to the left, but the general area should be 100%.

It was a pretty good movie and a better book. :D

But seriously, how can people not know this? It reminds me of seeing the news when people get asked questions like, "What were the names of the three ships Columbus sailed to America in 1492?" That's pretty funny too.

There's a reason my AP American class asked me to analyze isolationist policies among various presidents instead of reciting poems about Christopher Columbus sailing the ocean blue. No one gives a sh*t.

What would be stupid is if that reporter asked someone where their heart was and they pointed to their knee.

I guess that would make choosing the throat quite accurate for some people.

I personally am far more interested in the genocide that he caused than the name of his boats, but I think that most people don't give a $hit about isolationist policies either. I just enjoy watching people squirm and look stupid over common knowledge questions. If you can't retain the information in a stupid rhyme how are you going to have the intellectual capacity to analyze historical policies in a proper context?

Well, you wouldn't necessarily. I think he's talking about "In fourteen and ninety-two / Columbus sailed the ocean blue", etc.

I used to confuse my spleen and my liver all the time when I was younger.

Even earlier, I had a kidney infection and actually went to a gynaecologist because I thought what hurt was my ovary. Smiley: grin
