It's not that i'm being righteous, its that i dont want anything to do with someone who's making our society worse than it already is.

You'd best kill yourself then, really.

Would this include someone leaving their kids without a dad because they refuse a perfectly healthy heart transplant for some untenable moralistic bullsh*t?

I think the kids would be better off.

I'm carrying the genes for alzheimers disease, and i dont plan on passing it on, which means no kids for me.

Well, my grandma died of it, and i remember her before it hit her and right before she died, and it's not an image i'm gonna forget anytime soon.

Well, at least you don't have Alzheimer's.

At least you don't have TACACACATATCCTCGT.

Around here, they just say they have the heart and rush the patient into surgery. I love the irony that it may save a life.

I have 18inches of hair that I cut off to donate to cancer patients for wigs. Also those soft crocheted scull caps. I love making those.

I wouldn't take a murderer's heart for the same reason I would take transplant muscles from a recently paralyzed man. I don't want to catch paraplegia, and I certainly don't want to get infected with murderitis. Think about it, would you wear a wig made from cancer patient hair?

Where do you think skull caps come from? HMMMMMM?

Why not? Its not like his/her heart is going to make me a murderer?

IF he/she was a gay murderer that would be ok too.

You're also young. Unless you're gay, you're going to have to really hold onto this. Make sure future potential spouses know.

I have the genes for it, which means one of two things: either i'm a carrier, in which case i'm just carrying the genes and won't die of it, or i'm a reciever, in which case i will die of it (and the symptoms start showing around age 40 or so). Either way, i don't want to put anyone through the suffering of watching me slowly lose every single memory i have of my life, my friends, my family, and everything else (If my grandma is the norm, i'll also waste away to a frail, helpless person [I plan on going out before the worst of it hits, since i believe the first thing that it destroys is your short-term memory]).

They have medication and **** now that helps you know. I wouldn't off yourself if you forget something at the grocery store at 45, just in case.

If that were the case, i'd be dead already, since i'm pretty forgetful right now (i get distracted easily, and i can completely forget something i decided on less than a minute ago quite easily). The medication makes it easier to deal with (aka delays the innevitable), it doesn't cure it. If such a thing did exist, i'd not only be ecstatic, i'd have a complete change of heart about the no-kids thing (so long as my kids aren't like me and my sis were when we were younger).

There are other homeopathic remedies you might try!

There's pretty good evidence that people can stay sharp even with Alzheimer's if they are learning new things in social settings. I can't remember where I was reading it (ha!) but there was a recent article about it - on sfgate, maybe. I'll take a look and see if I can find it again.

The thing was, even people whose brains showed clear signs of Alzheimer's were apparently unaffected by it, which tells us a few things: it's not a death sentence necessarily, and we don't know everything there is to know about it.

Here I didn't want kids because they're annoying.

I just look silly with this guy and his martyrdom now.
