I expect Kao to be giving Tare a written warning for her recent failings in completing her designated task as Weekend Thread Starter.

I'm relaxing this weekend. It's been an incredibly busy week. I'd like to get out on my bike some. I'm not sure if the husband has made any plans for us or not - I'm hoping NOT.

How about you?

Going into the city tonight to see Jenny Lewis (lass in my avatar). Tomorrow is kinda-sorta wide open except that I need to take my kid to a soccer game and should mow my back lawn. Sunday, Flea is going to a flea market (heh) so I'll be kicking around the house on my lonesome. I started playing City of Heroes again (I had an MMORPG void in my life, apparently) and, although Nadenu has abandoned me *sniff*, I am having fun playing with something called the Mission Architect where you design instanced zones/missions for other people to play. So I'll be dorking around with that this weekend, especially on Sunday -- well, once I'm done sleeping in.

The gf and I are going to see Up with some friends of ours. I'm also waiting on a package to come in from Canada that may or may not seriously alter my future.

As for actual Saturday and Sunday plans... not sure. I've spent the past few weekends cooped in the apartment with nothing to do, so I'm hoping to get out and find something entertaining to do. Sometimes I wish I had a house so that I could work on a lawn and vegetable garden.

I'm currently trying to will away the fever I have because Winter has made a very sudden comeback around here. Depending on my willpower body temperature tomorrow I might work. Also need to clean up my flat, someone is interested in taking all my furniture (which I need to get rid of) and renting the place, and they're coming to take a look on Monday.

Working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from four to close.

Other than that, playing FFXI, taking care of my puppy, and looking into a tour of North Korea during the Mass Games.

Boring weekend, really.

Trying to catch up on sleep for the most part. This has been a hellacious week at work and things won't be slowing down until mid-July probably. But when I'm awake, I'll be taking my oldest to take his subject test SATs and cooking a hell of a lot of Filipino food for my parish's weekend party. I'm going to be smelling like fried fish all weekend long.

This weekend sucks.

My mother-in-law is getting married Sunday, so my wife is going down to her place this afternoon for the weekend. Which means that I have a day and a half of freedom (well, other than Thom) which I will take advantage of by playing Battlefield 2 until the wee hours of the morn.

Going to try out our new Blue Ray DVD player tonight. Smiley: grin
Nothing solidified yet, but we may try and get a game of mini golf in, along with the Mr. taking Xavier to see Up. Xavier is out of school now so Im trying to keep him and Ashe both entertained and not beating the crap out of each other. As an aside, I've got 3 weeks to go for the newest spawn, so I've been half cajoling, half threatening him to come out now.

Nice! Funny, I never knew who that was in your avatar. I like her music...she has some specially catchy lyrics, but guess I never really paid any attention to visuals. Will she be with Rilo Kiley?

Jenny Lewis tune that is currently on my playlist - Acid Tongue

Edit: todays lesson: the difference between links and quotes.

This is solo stuff so no Rilo Kiley. I've seen her both ways and prefer her solo although the horrific sound quality at the Chicago Riveria didn't help my Rilo Kiley experience.

Friday, friday.

Had a busy morning at the eye doc (new contacts) and kickin' it with the kiddos. Wanted to nap but Sims 3 beckoned. Now I'm knackered.

*sigh*

Saturday, chillin'. Sat night, babysitting.

Sunday, chillin'. Sunday night, chillin'.

Not much happening round here.

I left Evil, Inc. for the last time at noon today. They had a little pizza party for the handful of us that got canned. It was nice, and I got a good letter of recommendation out of it, and also a flash drive that's shaped like an ear of corn. Smiley: laugh

I'd detail my weekend, but every day is Saturday when you're unemployed.

Unemployment hit 9.4% today. You're such a statistic.

That's a very generous severance package.

Apparently the company thought you needed a "change".

Playing it by ear this weekend. So many entertaining things to do so little time.

Right now I'm on an Amtrak train to Maine. I'm gonna see my grandma and my nieces are in a recital. So it'll be nice. The train was over an hour late and there are a bunch of teenagers on this train, so I feel stabby but mostly I'm fine.

Trying to get the pool straightened out tonight. I have a new strainer, 1/2 gallon of muriatic acid, 3 cases of liquid chlorine, 2 liters of Coke and 1/5 of Bacardi.

Saturday is gaming and cleaning, then playing at Rock Bottom that night.

Sunday I'm either going to do some recording or go to my mom's and get the rest of the stuff out of her shed. I'll probably end up doing both.
